How many helmets do we really need (want)?

I have three but only two that I wear.
One full face for weekends and long ride, and one open face helmet for my daily commute.

I buy helmets like women buy shoes....I have a bunch I have given a few away and probably could get rid of a few more. The two I use the most is a Bell Revolver modular....not a great helmet but it was $80 the other is AFX FX-39 Dual sport helmet...I'd use the AFX more but I really like the convenience of the modular.

The others I have are two HJCs one FF the other 3/4. My wife likes the 3/4 so I pretty much gave that to her....

One of these days I'm going to drop some coin on a really nice modular helmet.

Not sure why,but I have 16 helmets. Only wear 2. They just look good in the garage shelf.

Have three, 1/2, 3/4 and full. Don't want the thread to go in another direction, but has anyone ever used a Kali helmet. I hear good things. If you can point me to another thread that would be cool too.

I have three, but two are retired ones that I keep as spares.

Three - only ever wear one. One is for passengers (which never happens) and the other is my "old" helmet.

Nine at the moment. Can't seem to toss the old ones.

I previously stated that "I need 4" I need to edit that... 5... I need 5. No, wait. 6, yes 6 should do nicely.

Oh hell... One can NOT have too many helmets!!!

One dirt, one street. No old ones because I throw them out after a hard crash.

Once they do the job I don't want them sitting on a shelf. They hold no joy for me beyond function.

I have four, wife just bought me a Schuberth.....my head has never been worth so much!!!!

HDC Full Face
Shoei Multitec
HDC Half helmet
Arai XD3
HDC Dirt

Considering a 6th helmet - a 3/4 vintage one for the airhead. Maybe one of those Bell makes.
