Since the killboy thread is exploding with some sort of existential crisis about which stickers can go on which bike and which cases and which suit.... Have at it, boys.

    I'll go first.

I have my German bike built over onto a US frame right now. My stickers are all on my cases and my windshield, which did travel to those places. Is that "legal"?

    You own the bike.

Put whatever you want on it.

    Of course it's legal.
The bike doesn't go anywhere. The rider does.
If I got out of prison after 5 years, I would say to my bike
" So, tell me of all the places you have traveled since I last saw you"
and the bike would say, "I didn't go anywhere, I've been waiting for you."
All joking aside, I went to Germany on a Honda many years ago and went to Canada on the V-Strom last fall both stickers are on my side case.
The bike won't travel one inch without the rider.
I know people feel differently but that's my opinion.
Do whatever you want, it's your bike and you're paying the bills.

That's an interesting question, that I never really though about consciously.

I went to Moab with my mountain bike in my 4X4 pickup. I put a Moab sticker on the truck. I guess somehow I knew that it didn't belong on the motorcycle.

What if I rent a bike overseas? Should I put a Germany sticker on my bike at home? What about when I sell the bike, and put the cases on the new bike? I doubt I would peel all the stickers off because that bike didn't go there.

Truth be told, my bike doesn't have a lot of space for stickers, so I don't use them. (cloth saddlebags, very little painted area) In fact, I went through a lot of effort removing the factory decals.

Some people like to to show where they've been or advertise their real or imagined associations (e.g., HD stickers on trucks). That's OK - whatever floats your boat but no stickers for me unless I am paid for the advertising. ADV and MOA might be an exception in the future as they're good causes.

Got a chuckle out of the "Stickers….Should I?" post. A riding buddy and I used to ride dirt/singletrack together, and we would secretly 'stock up' on mfr and gear stickers from the local MC shops and when the other wasn't looking at rest stops, we'd basically paste over each other's bike with a tacky collection of go-fast stickers. At first, it PO'd both of us, but as time went on, the stickers were actually helping to hold the broken plastic bits together. :lol3

I have ADV stickers on my bike. If I saw another bike with a ADV sticker on the side of the road I would stop and see if they needed help. Unless she has huge boobs I don't stop for just anybody even though I know I should. Don't hate me. :D

I used to put stickers on my workshop toolbox. But I was only allowed stickers of products/brands that were either on my bike or had been on my bike at the time of sticker application.

    Rules is rules

(Yes stickers might be for kids but so are bikes in reality!!) (and I like them so I don't care)

I revisited the KillBoy thread to see where this came from. LOL, typical!

"I'll put a damn Oregon sticker on my bike if I want. I don't even want to go there. I'd just do it for giggles and poos."

    LMAO!

If your bike could talk, when you got out of prison it would tell you that your best friend rode it every week when he went to visit your girlfriend, and your wife was the one who lent it to him so he wouldn't tell on her for messing around with your brother, and that would be a sticky situation. :D
