Klopfi: Did you take the deer home, cook, and eat it? I have a standing order that if I bin it due to an animal, imma eat it. If I bin it due to an animal so bad that I am no longer, I expect others to eat it for me.

Hah, yes. But they are nocturnal unless rabid I believe. I also mostly ride only during the day. EW suck though if I have to ride at night and bin it on a skunk. Wonder if they taste like chicken?

Here's my road rash from September 07'. Went into a 90 degree left hander following a car too close. I didn't see the plastic beads (or fertilizer?) scattered all over the corner. Full lean, front tire hit beads, and I low sided the strom.

i see road rash everyday that i am in thailand. when i can, i usually spend my winters in koh samui, it really is one of the worset places in thailand to drive, everything adds up to disaster, the roads are the worest in the country, pot holes and broken concrete is everywhere, then comes the bikes, all you need is a passport to rent a bike, no experience no drivers license, no one cares, everyone and everything is on the roads, from those who have no experience to overloaded trucks, then comes the all night drinking, all the tourists know better but you can see them getting onto their scooters all pissed up and drive off into the night as the cops dont care.
so then comes the next day, legs are bandaged, people hobbling around. 10 years ago it used to be 1 foreigner would die every week on that island, i am scared to think what it must be like today. wearing protection is to wear sunglasses.

knock on wood. 11 years worth of trips, and i have never recieved a samui tattoo.

Samui tattoo refers to the burn on the inside of your leg from the exposed muffler on a step through bike. Even I had a small one.......I lived there for six months. The word I had from locals there was that one farang a day was dying from motorcycle accidents. Drunk guys on holiday, sandy corners, and winding roads make for a lethal combination. Needless to say this death rate was not published in tourist pamplets. :rofl :rofl

I rented a clapped-out XR250 on Koh Samui and proceeded to go get lost in the hills on the dirt roads for most of a day. I figured it's a small island, how lost can I get?

I popped out of the forrest INSIDE a military compound. I was fairly sure I was about to be shot as a hositle intruder before I got escorted off the base by a machine-gun toting guy in a jeep.

Aside from that, what a spectacular place, we loved the place, and someday WILL go back.

And the $45/day for the "big" bike was worth every penny. :lobby

This is from going into cements posts on the side of the road doing about 100 kph. Think I hit the pelvis as hard as possible without breaking it. Lost three liters of blood that had to be drained from internal bleeding of the muscles.

Speaking of tats.... Got pinned in between a bunch of boulders and my TC450 after losing it on a technical uphill of rocks and loose crap. Somehow this happened even though I was wearing a pressure suit. Right lower torso.

Some jack-hole left turned in front of me back in August '07. I lowsided hard at about 45, sliding somewhere around 40 ft. My head didn't hit the ground at all and I was wearing helmet, jacket, gloves & Sidi boots; but no riding pants that day.

Supermoto trackday bruise. Lowside(cold tires, cold brain) DAY 1.
Full Alpinestars leathers. The bvruise here shows the point of impact. I landed on that arm HARD and skidded/tumbled off the track.
You can see in the next few pics how the elbow & forearm pads dispersed the energy of the impact. The bruise fits the pads perfectly!
