What side cases and rack are you using? I'd love to have a setup like that.

The cases are Seahorse SE720' s. They are the same size as Pelican 1520's but are lighter.

The racks were made by me and a friend. We used a cutting board for the backing plate, some allthread with pvc spacers and a piece of aluminium.

I have been pleased with them, they have a lot of room, are water proof, and I can lock them up.

TN Sporty, Great job on the bags/cases, do you have any pictures for the mounts you made for that, or next time you have the bags could you take a few pics, would live to do that to my sportster.

    98 Sporsters with 7200... Not a bad trade for $1800 and a .410 shotgun (worth $450) huh?

:thumbThis must be a 1992 XL 883. Reminds me at the one I owned. But mine was a piece of crap. Loved it anyhow!

It's a '93. HD used the same decals for a while though. Only thing I've had to do is rebuild the carb and it was much easier than I anticipated. I'd like to change a few things on her but I'm still in school and funds are tight. Did you have a lot of problems out of yours?

Oh, I sure had a lot of trouble. Started with day one. Came to pick up the brand new bike and it would not start. The mechanic had to fiddle with the harness to get it running. Had to wait 2 days to get my bike. I had taken vacation and of course was hot. Then I had 2 cracked rear fender. Than the engine was blown twice and a lot of little stuff. My ex brother in law had a 93 and his was allmost perfekt. Only thing was a brocken drive belt. But he had bad luck. The bike got stolen in front of our hotel at the Super Rally in the Czech Republic in 2003.
Hope you have mor luck with yours. My replacement for the Sporty was a 1999 Road King which was flawless.
But it got totaled by a blind and stupid kid takeing my right away. Now I own a 2011 Hot White Denim Street Glide.
I also have a Buell Ulysses which is a perfekt bike so far and it has the Sporty engine. Even if it's modified.
    Take care and ride safe

The changes looked great. I've been on the lookout for an older high mileage / blown big twin that I can pick up for a decent price and rebuild. How much did you get out of it (if I may ask)?
