Specifications from KTM suggest 250mm ground clearance for the 'R' (although below early post suggests less)
    Has anyone measured it?

Also, how much more clearance will a bash plate take?
My 990 measures at 247mm to the BD bash plate - I wouldn't want any less.

Well there is also this one:

Shows off the steering more. Traumatised motorists scattered in wake. For an ADV bike, this thing sure is frisky on tarmac.

Today, have the first 1000 km maintenance fullfilled. After connecting to th computer, we have received [E928] 59688, [E930] 59696 faults from ABS and [9002] B1002 fault codes from MCU.

Have any of you seen this? They were cleaned from the system, but the E928 mentions static error, MM5.10 sensor time out/DLC error, bla bla

The manual should show the fault codes.

    Regarding the movies, what about:

    Mr xxxxxxxx
    RTW 4-5days.

Ride Report: Epic ride, but didn´t get to see much.

Maybe it´s the recording, but the engine/exhaust noise is not my taste. Sounds like a 125 ccm.

Yep, its the recording! The exhaust sound is that of an angry V twin. A bit muted but veeeryyy nice! For me no need for an aftermarket except for the weight saving

I misured my R now, the ground clearance in the lowest point (in the back where the pipes coming from the cilinders joint) is 254 mm.

According to tech specs, 250mm for R model, 220mm for standard model

I know, one thing is the spec an other is reality, my ruler stated 254cm. it laso depends on the preload. standard in my case.

Often forgotten, but very true. Plus the weight of the driver, of course.

Yes, I also thought about it. Moreover, I would like to have a smaller exhaust on each side. And on a lower position, so that I can use two left side KTM bags = more space. The right side one seems to be very small.

Yeah seems like those riders may die. Only takes one car turning left as he is passing. Car driver looks ahead, no-one coming, safe to turn left. Gets hit by a rider passing from behind on the left at 140mph. Hope they do not kill any innocents. Very possible though. Clearly those riders need to take it to the track.

I took a few minutes to watch some of that and I have to say he's a pretty sloppy rider. He may think he's Joe Racer, but truthfully was riding way over his skill level in several places. You only get to roll the dice so many times before it comes up snake eyes. He really should slow it down before he learns the hard way. :deal
