Diesel engines are not big Carbon Monoxide producers. However Carbon Dioxide is another story. It will displace the Oxygen. Get a detector for CO2 or leave a window cracked.
You do know that there is a major winter storm rollin' our way set to arrive Friday night, right? Temps are going to change drastically, and wind, and snow, and...........it will be good exercise for the new heater! Oh, and you still suck.

Chance of Geek Sucking- 5 day forecast: Thursday- Geek who already sucks, continues to suck just as much Friday- Geek, who is still in Moab, (and I'm not) begins to suck just a little bit more Saturday- Geek, who is on Moab, while I sit here staring at the cat, really begins to suck mightily Sunday- The level of Geek's suckage continues to build, unapaced Monday- Geek's level of suckage begins taking an asymptotic slope
If you get stuck on this side of the divide, give me a jingle and I'll buy you a beer. If you get REALLY stuck, I'm not too far away for help.
You guys think I suck? I just ran into this guy 20 minutes ago. I tried to take consolation in the fact that my 950 is nicer than his v-strom and my 500 is nicer than his XR... but then it occurred to me that the taxes he paid on a $300K vehicle was more than what all five of our bikes put together cost :huh
Fair enough! Its cool that the heater uses the fuel that the vehicle already uses. Filling the propane tank is a bit of a pain, however we have only done it as a preventative measure thus far, havent actually run out of propane on a trip yet Jealous of your moab trip(s)!
The rack under the XR is actually the rear deck that attaches to the truck - he can carry one bike on the deck by itself or uses the trailer for two. He's headed to Vermont today... says he average about 10mpg. His "big trip" was supposed to happen last year but didn't for whatever reason.. he's still headed towards it. iirc he has an ADV username of something like "road trek" but doesn't get on here often.
I got the 500's valves checked, trials wheel put back on the rear, golem filter installed and oil/filter changed. Then I ran to the store for some essentials the fridge will be put to good use this weekend
I just had someone contact me (not from adv) and ask me what I would charge to build them a van kitted like mine for them... and they were serious :huh
