Well, all I can say is that in 5 years of living here full time and 2 years with multiple trips before that, we have had multiple permits and visas on 2 bikes and the truck, juggling the permits, and each time they have been co-terminus. Now to be sure, I could turn in a TVIP and keep the visa but the if I got a new TVIP using that visa, it couldn't be issued to go past the expiration date on my visa.

If your experience is different, I would like to hear about it. The one thing you learn is that it is always different from office to office and agent to agent.

Riding back to AZ and back south would cost me more than the $400.

Its simply an attempt to get my money back at this point. We will see what happens.

May just have to chalk this one up to experience. Several hundred dollar lessons tend to stick with an individual!!

Thought I left most of my dumbass decision making and mistakes behind in my 20's. Good to see I remain consistent in my 30's:D

Funny too cause I checked the VIN about 5 times!!!!:kboom

I just spent some time on the Bancercito website and it seems to indicate that you will need to return to the border to cancel and get a new permit. Shortest distance is towards Texas? Comments on where is best border town to hit from PV from the Tejano contingent?

I'm not a betting man, I'd rather just hear your info if you are willing to share. I did stumble across this from the website of the Banjercito though. This is talking about the apply by mail process but it seem apropos.

If you are a foreign citizen, before starting the application process you must go to the following webpage http://www.inm.gob.mx/index.php/page/Pre_Autorizacion/en.html in order to apply for your immigration pre-authorization. The vehicle permit will be issued for the same period as that stated on your immigration pre-authorization. Furthermore, once you‘ve entered Mexico you must approach an immigration officer in order to exchange your pre-authorization form for the proper immigration document.

Look on the bright side. You're not getting divorced. You could add a few zeros to the "lesson".

Anyone crossing the border that I can fed ex this to and renew for me? Haha They never actually look at the bike!!

Turkey Creek thanks for the link. I am about to go to it now but I am guessing that there isnt even an office in PV.

If any country ever put an efficient logical govt and process in place they would rule the world!!!
