No I just though I would ride it around Naked for a while to see how it went. Works fine. I think it after was after I drowned the bike back in the days when everyone was convinced that's what caused the hard start. It started fine so I took it out for a ride to dry out its bits.

its gone real quite 'round here - pluric, you on vacation again?

Changed out the air filter element today for an oiled foam type. Reassembled the bike, put it in the shed.. went to lock the door.. then I saw the bloody rubber plug that goes in on top of the central screw in the filter body.

Anybody else leave it out?

Not going to go through all that again just to replace it.

Will it be a problem?

Tested it out on the front lawn with about two feet of old snow. Promply high centered and I noticed
lawn coming up as I'm trying to get it unstuck. I'll explain that to my wife in the spring.

Yes I have. I hate it when that happens. I was putting the tools away and noticed

Unless you run the thing under water and mud above the airbox I can't see it hurting anything.

If you have the two separate oil/foam filters probably not. It would seem the plug is mostly to prevent water from becoming free standing in the hole and ultimately leaking into the air box.
