Do you have Robert Neal's Liberty engine book? http://www.amazon.com/Technical-Ope...=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1350164497&sr=1-1
The Bombardier predecessor to the CL415 with the radials is a CL215. I had a job in the paint shop that painted them when I was a teenager. My finger tips got to know every rivet on the aircraft intimately They took off from Montreal and flew to us in Bar River, Ontario with bare metal.. left painted for around the world. Got to paint "Do Not Step" in yugoslavian, czechoslovakian, french, spanish, etc p.s. the Grandparent (PBY) looks like the ones I remember from Newfoundland.
Actually, the PBY variant is known as a Canso water bomber here in Canada. That pic is of the Canso on static display right on the Trans-Canada Hwy in Gander, Nfld.
Caproni Ca.193 Isn't that a repeat? The second was also designated a Breda-Pensuti B2. Looks like two versions were built.
