You know, that bike you sat on at the bike show or at the dealer, the one that felt like it was just the perfect fit for your body shape and put you in the most natural riding position, but you never got to ride one to see if it really was that good......... which bike was that? For me, the Yamaha TDM900. Never sat on a bike that felt more comfortable in terms of the riding position, but never got to ride one to know for sure. Sent using Tapatalk 2
For me it was the Victory Kingpin. I've never owned a cruiser of any make, and Victorys in general just look cartoonish to me. But in the showroom, that bike really made me want to take it for a spin. Just felt right for relaxed touring.
BMW K100RS and K1100RS. Had a K1100RS. Sold it to buy a C-14 Concours- BIG MISTAKE. Traded it in for a '92 K100RS. Like putting on a pair of comfortable slippers. I have very long arms- fits me so well.
The Kingpin is comfortable. My longest ride on a Victory was on a Kingpin and that was 16 day, 12,000 mile trip!
For me it was a guzzi Norge and Stelvio last winter, Comfy, upright and they felt a lot thinner than I thought they would. I'd still like to test ride both. JA
Ducati Multistrada 620. Felt perfect in the showroom. I've sat on 2 Versys's (Versi ?). A first gen and a second gen. Both felt really good sitting in the showroom.
Haven't sat on all that many bikes, but the most comfortable- 86 Yamaha venture. Riding on the highway was a comfortable as driving my old Town Car.
I found that the Kawasaki Voyager 1700 had one of the most comfortable saddles ever put on a motorcycle. (IMO) Not that I would want to own a mega cruiser like that but I wouldn't mind taking one for a long ride around the Northwest. (once)
Now that's a motorcycle trip! And long enough that if you say it's comfortable, it's comfortable. Another bike I sat on and loved - but never rode - was the Aprilia Futura. Ergos were very similar to the K12S/K13S I've had in the past...but the OEM seat seemed ridiculously comfortable. But then, many of them do, during the 30-second showroom test, I guess.
Electra Glide Ultra Limited but I'm biased, thirty years ago I would have said it was 1976 CB750. I'm thinking twenty years from now it will be somwthing ligher and smaller.
2012 Super Tenere. Sat on one at the Motorcycle show and I think with the seat on the highest position it may be a perfect fit.
Great thread idea. How are people not understanding what this is asking? Maybe 10 more posts til it turns into "post a pic of your bike" thread...
For me it was a Yamaha Venture. It was like a barcalounger. I never got to ride it beyond a putter around the lot.
This one....sat on one at the bike show and my ass was in love. Monster of a bike but damn did it feel comfy!1
