Aren't they doing a bunch next season? And none in Boston!?! That part I don't get because we put out the rink every year now for college games so everything is already in place.

If the NHL really wanted to be credible, it would have banned Chara for a year.

For what? That was a legal check, made worse by the laughable design of the end of the partitions. What about Matt Cooke, ending Marc Savards career? That was worse. I think he should have been banned for life. Chara was called for interference. The correct call...

You need to move back into the hole. There have been so many incidents, intentional even, that got less than an interference call. It was all time and place, something that happens in every hockey game, that just did not end well for Max nor end that badly compared to other incidents.

HABS fans, they are cry baby powder puffs....but that is how their team plays. What more could be expected?

The Hawks looked pretty good last night.
I'm surprised Pittsburgh isn't just rolling over the Islanders.
I also am surprised by the Habs poor showing.

There are about two players I can name who have deserved that harsh of a punishment. Todd Bertuzzi and Matt Cooke. I think Bertuzzi should have been kicked out of the NHL on the spot. Anyone who thinks Chara deserved a year either A. Doesn't know or has never played hockey, or B. Is a hardcore hometown fan who just hates the Bruins.

The real question is did the Habs ever swap out those end boards for the new style or no? I know they were one of the few teams remaining to do so.

The adjustments at NHL rinks included curving the glass panels in the areas around the benches, so that a player involved in a collision similar to Pacioretty’s would be more likely to sustain a glancing blow, rather than the head-on trauma that resulted from Chara’s hit. Introducing the change was one of the first steps taken by the league’s Department of Player Safety, which was established in June after a season in which Pacioretty’s injury was one of many that put up a red flag.

The above is pasted from the article linked.

They played some good hockey. Nothing to be ashamed of in their effort. The Bruin's on the other hand....I hope they can keep what they just found. It has been a roller coaster ride this year...up down up down up down....

Frustrating when we have seen some of these lines play so well and then play so poorly. And some have not showed up for a month. Big props to Kreijci for this series. He did not have a banner year numbers wise, but he sure showed up for this match up.

I wanted the Habs....though. Nothing sweeter than to cancel their travel plans.

I should have watched the Beantown v. Leafs game sounded like a crazy 1. But while I was working I snuck in most of the Rangers Big Win.

    Some stats;

First time Rangers have won a game 7 on the road.

Back to back shutouts for Henrik, I think only the 4th time it's ever been done.

Rangers v. Bruins, last time they played a playoff game was 1973.

    Let's Go Rangers

Lastly Rangers fans were showing their stuff last night,

    HENRIK, HENRIK

    and of course

    POTVIN SUCKS ;)
