Did anyone else get to the Honda Broadford Bike Bonanza (2012)?:ear

    Absolute fantastic time!
    Lots of riding.
    Lots of photos.
    Lots of videos.
    Lots of laughs.
    and
more motorcycles and motorcyclists than you could poke ten sticks at!:clap

I went with my wife and 15y.o. son. The RD (it is the blue one in the first video - an air cooled 250) was loaded onto the trailer and we travelled with a few couples from here. Met up with several others, including a couple that came from WA, with the green frame and the square case supersports.

Only downer - if you are riding you don't get to view much else other than your own 'event'.

I only saw one ADV bike - the XTZ1200 with Ural sidecar. Can't think who owns it. It was gone before I got back with a note to say where I was camped.

If you were, and have videos or photos, stick em up, PLEASE!!!:clap

Yes, Dave, it was. Just couldn't recall, nor could I find it by searching through. Too much stuff here.

    To which I will add

Some of the riding. Most of these photos were taken by my wife and son. I was busy riding.

This'd be me, on the RD, trying to close the gap to Mick, on his twin cam 750/4. Note the 'adventure' helmet. Damn thing meant I couldn't get down on the tank whilst still seeing where I wanted to go.

I got him around the long left sweeper onto the main straight.

You don't have to be far away to feel isolated.

This bloke and I went lap after lap after lap. He'd get by me on the straights and then I'd work to get infront of him before the main straight.

Then I noticed he had a prosthetic on his left hand...

I've got quite a few photos of he & I. I'd love to know who he is so I could send them on. Anyone know him?

We didn't have much problem with the 350 Elsie, except on the straights.

'Indian' was the featured marque at the road race circuit.

There was the speedway, on Saturday afternoon. Photos were a bit hard to get - slow lens, low light and ham fists don't help.

Alright, it's mainly a problem with ham fists, isn't it.:lol3

Looks like it's just you & I, Dave.

Another video, from the helmet cam this time. Don't know what happened to the audi track, all the others worked ok.

I was speaking with a bloke, on Sunday morning on the dummy grid. He was riding an XS850 at that time but had had his H2 500 out on Saturday. He and I had 'done a few lines together' during one session. He reckons he was asking himself 'wtf do I have to do to get rid of this bloke?' Yes, I was having fun, proving that a TLS front / SLS rear can still work satisfactorily.:lol3

You can see a bit of what I'm on about in this video.

    G'day Donks.
this isn't a write up, just a pictorial.
The write up is for the classic club. A story does a lot better when you 'know' the characters. I mean, I can put shit on Dobbo all day. For that matter, everyone can put shit on Dobbo all day. He's got broad shoulders. Either that or he can't actually read.
As for Gra' don't get me started.

And yes, do make it if you can. Fantastic fun.

it's so much fun that my missus intimated that I should get a historic type race bike. Used only on Sundays sort of thing.:clap

And she may ride the RD next year??!!

I'd like to see pics and vids from others that were there. But maybe it was just me?

Maybe it's a demonstration to each other?
In fact, this video three brothers from here are demonstrating their riding skills to me. And I to they.

I did the same thing there, once from memory. :eek1

There is also the one where I go off the track at the start of the straight - it's on one of the videos - squeeze almost between the bike I was passing and the grass. Well, if Valentino can do it!:lol3

I just noticed the leathers on the Bultaco rider are new. Maybe he had to replace the previous set?

I've started on my RD400 rebuild. It's pulled apart. Sitting in plastic boxes, fo the most part.
