    I am actually paying a bit less, but my research shows that their claim of lasting twice (or more) as long as a regular battery makes it worth it when I am paying less than what two regular batteries would cost. Additionally, as I can balance charge it with my existing RC battery chargers it will last even longer.

    I just bought one of those Balistic batteries for my Tiger. 142$ shipped from LALA land.
    I figure it will last way longer, not care about full discharges, and cuts about 8-10LB off the weight of the bike.
    should be on the porch Monday.

    Did you get the 8cell version? I am going with the 12cell for the Bandit.

    Becareful about over discharging it. LiFe batteries (what these are) can be damaged if over discharged. If fact, teh warrenty is void if it is over discharged, this is from their warrenty page;

    Cell chemistry damage as a result of being drained below 9.0 Volts.

    That said, they have much more capacity that the batteries they replace so you would have to do soem serious cranking to discharge it that far.

    If you are ever in MD on 273 and don't want rely on your Metamucil go here. I will post appropriate warning in MD tor as well. Please steer clear of this place.. I stayed away from the suchi but Slo may very well be in the ICU at the local hospital as a result of eating here. Scary food.

    I can shave off 8-10LBS just by taking a dump before I ride.

    Winning! I just saved $142

    If you can get 250,000 miles out of that bike, then it'll be worth it. If the bike is only good for another 100,000 miles, then you spent twice as much for what Slo taking a dump would get you. :1drink

    Oh I can dump some weight too!! :D But that doesn't help me pick up my 500 pound piggie when it goes down.
