We gotta petition our congressmen to pass a law stating no motorcycle of any kind for any purpose will be sold without the ability to accept hard, lockable luggage. Somehow some fuktard at BMW believes that if they make luggage available for this bike they will sell less touring bikes. And BMW is a lot better than the other mfgrer's, the Italian ones totally suck at it. Thank God for after market mfgrer's.

Well, this may be one of the only bikes in BMWs lineup (well, this and the RR) without locking luggage.

I guess the NineT will be added to that list now, too, but still.

Here is some unedited, official press kit video footage for you (disregard the title, they obviously put one R too many). Interesting that they went to the Nardo ring to film this - glorious I4 sound! :D

Very supple suspension. Appears to have been tuned differently than the RR. Smart. Nice vid.

Damn... you are right. Obviously I need more coffee... :rofl worst part is that I spent a big chunk of my childhood at Monza. I grew up very close to the racetrack.

I love the purr of an I4. It really sounds like the high-note is almost tuned to sound like an electric bike. It makes me think of the Mission R.

Small correction, that's Autodromo Terramar in Spain. Not Nardo.

Amazing! I Googled this, and read about the history of this old nearly forgotten race track. There's a great Audi R8 video that was filmed there recently, too.

But this new BMW video does both the bike and the old track justice.

    Thanks for sharing this!

I believe you... I am relieved that it is not Monza after all (wrong is wrong, but at least I am not senile in not recognizing a track I spent a lot of time at :D).

To be fair, the surviving bits of the "anello alta velocita'" at Monza look amazingly similar, if even more beat up.

That blue is really nice. Interested to see the details on power delivery, comfort, and economy. Could be very sweet but everything's gotta' match up to make it worth it.

Yeah really looks similar to the KTM stuff. The 4 cylinder just does not do it for me. I prefer the big twin!

Useful for UK people, but the non-US prices rarely translate to US prices directly.
