And no, I haven't switched to an '14. the dealer is keeping the 13 as a test bike atm. But 14's heve been delivered for clients.

It is a tapered bar. The center is 28mm and the ends are roughly 22mm or 7/8.

Are you sure about the 28mm? 28mm is 1 1/8 inch. And the new bars are 1 1/4 inches as far as I know.

Nope. You're right. I just pulled out the calipers and measured the bars. they are 32mm or 1.25" in the center.

Thanks for checking - mine is still on the boat or I would have gone to the garage to check it out ...

1 1/4" on mine; I had to return Rox risers that were the wrong size - even though I eye-balled the bars and risers and told the parts fellow that they didn't look to be the right size. So, many are unfamiliar with the new GSW specs - even those who sell bike specific parts.

Let's put it that way - for people not used to metric it's often not easy to quickly double check whether the 1 1/14" are 28 or 32mm. It's just a completely brain dead system, no, not the metric - that one actually works.

I just know it is somewhere during early August.

If you have Trip A enabled, you might be interested in what I have figured out. You probably know that Trip A measures total mileage for the day.

I find this an interesting number to know, so I like having Trip A enabled.

So, here's what I just noticed: Trip A will retain the last day's total when you turn on the ignition the next day, allowing you to see how far you rode. However, as soon as you start the engine for the first time on that new day, it will reset to 0.

i know that IF i have the GPS... it will communicate with the bike to make sure the CLOCK is always the correct time.

Trip 1/2 are user-resettable trip meters - Trip A automatically resets each day.

With the navigator iv/v (and the corresponding setting switched on in the bike's setup) the gps will set the time/date automatically when it has a fix. However, the bike will have the time/date set from the factory (or by the dealership which does the PDI).
