Glanced at salt bike thread and then foolishly went to craigslist, now I want something like this: or this: Even though they'd be just as cold as my BMW and have no ABS.
That is strange because I think Hunter S would say that is much closer to being squeezed out of a tube than...
i don't think Hunter would approve, but there is something about the looks of the bike. really the now discontinued xr1200 would be a better choice but i sat on one of those and really did not like the seat,or the seat height. i'm sure it would run rings around the 883r. not to bash but i think the way the harley looks to you is more important than performance. something about the 883r talks to me.....
On a slow day, the XR12 would find its way onto my list. But having owned a Buell, it's be down on the list.
+1. I almost sold my Blackbird to fund an FJR last year. The red and the ES might push me over the edge.
Stop posting the '14 red pix. If I'd seen one of those before I found my '07 this spring, there might have been payments...
Saw a MS Pikes Peak at the dealer today... Want: It was next to an SMT - which didn't look as good to me.
What's not to love about the styling, stance and just damn good looks. The longitudal V just shows bravado and class.
A Yamaha Royal Star pulled up next to me at the gas station yesterday afternoon. I'd never really considered one before, but all the other ones I'd seen were dressers. The naked standard version really piqued my interest. For the first time, I thought, "I could do one of those."
a long-travel, big-bore single is a GREAT city bike. potholes, curbs, the odd small animal or pedestrian are not an issue.
That's what I figured.. I love a "focused" road bike, but just yesterday when I started the bike, it was pointed across the local playground and I said what the F, and just went across it and jumped the curb at the end, cut my trip a bit short. I can see how this could be fun on a nice dual sport, but that Tenere costs a lot of money here (it's very close to the KTM 690 stuff).
If I were to do anything today, I would probably take both my Victory Vision and Yamaha Super Tenere, and trade them for a KTM A1190.
