At the top of Radical Hill last week, south of Montezuma Colorado.

Not another soul in sight the whole time I was there, well at least until the Radical Hill welcoming committee showed up...

That LC8 dirt tracker is awesome..... how'd it do???

Here's my bike.... not done yet, but it's getting there.... I hope to get to CJ's farkle and prep thing, I sent an email- no response yet... It'd be nice to see proven stuff in action. I just got the folding mirrors and Rally Raid windscreen on... looking forward to riding with them!

Unfortunately the KTM dirt tracker didn't qualify. He was back in the pack in his heat. Was a fun race to check out though.

I like how the crankcase breather hose is just routed out the back of the bike . . . so that when it burps oil, it just burps it on the competition. :rofl That's a cool bike!

Did you come up from Webster or did you come up from Montezuma on Deer Creek (or St Johns) :D

One of my favorite places to ride in the entire world (and I've ridden more than 500,000 miles)...

I need to get my arse up there soon.

Hey Cody I haven't ridden Hagerman in 2 years.. it is nothing on a "dirt bike" - do you think I can get a Mercedes Sprinter over it? I remember there being some bad watermellon sections on the Leadville side... :lurk

Ahh, leadville. Worked there a while back for a few days and was lucky enough to buy my Indian from a wonderful gent before I left for home.

Hey Geek--would of loved to have a riding partner--that area is sketchy by yourself.

Webster is still snowed in, and it looks like it will be for the whole summer. The switchbacks on the front side of Radical Hill are still snowed in too. I came up from Deer Creek. After my detour to Radical Hill, I looped around and followed St. Johns north up the ridge. That is a pretty serious climb. The trail is rain-eroded badly in spots, and the jeeps have turned over some huge rocks. Being alone, there was no option except to make it so I did.

I also rode Peru Creek (side trip to the very top of Pennsylvania Mine was VERY cool), Cinnamon Gulch, Chihuahua Gulch (first creek crossing was too deep to try alone), Boreas Pass (very easy but scenic), and tried Georgia Pass the back way towards Breck, but the trail was washed out and closed just after the Continental Divide on the Breckenridge side. Oh yeah, also did Keystone Gulch ALL the way to the top--the last mile of trail is pretty interesting. I sat at the top and watched a couple four wheel drive pick ups chicken out and turn around as the switchbacks got steeper, rockier, and narrower. Great ride!

    Whatever. :D

After the Yellowpig ride I just had to wash it. The abuse!

Geek- I'd say you could do it but I don't know your clearance. It's rough and it seemed to take a good while even on the KTM. I saw a nice looking road on the Ruedi Resv side that said Eagle that way. Maybe over Vail Pass and head in back route ?? Nice area. Tons of sailboats on Ruedi.

The regatta was going on.. hence all the sailboats.
I've 12-13" of clearance on the sprinter (until I put bigger tires on).
Any idea the name of that Ruedi Resv road?
