Using one for 3 years now. Awesome. Burns whatever is around you. Not as quick at gas but way more fun. Very compact to carry. No fuel needed just use leaves, branches, pine cones, wet wood. Uses AA battery to power fan. Last long time. Get crazy hot.
FRONT AXLE SPINDLE DRIVER & REMOVAL TOOL This is a little maraville for me. there is a lot of gadgets more expensives that this but this really works fine and you can bring it on your tool box travel.
this platform too is a good idea, you can move your motorcycle into the garaje or home and put it near a wall, etc.
Do the pots get very sooty ? Do you have a link perhaps - I get lots of hits when I Google but none that match that stove. Thanks...
Good used MSR camp cookstove like this one: We can ride many sorts of bikes through the same places, jackets, boots, etc ... but if you can't cook a satisfying dinner, make some coffee, boil water for clean drinking water or cooking ... things get dour pretty fast.
Looks like you got the link. Pots do get sooty, but it never bothers me. I keep the whole thing in its own bag. I just enjoy the involvement with this stove. It also makes good heat if you are in the cold and don't have a fire pit or larger wood to burn. I have a couple of them...found them all used on ebay for less than $40.00
look at this: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/jv_G6xf5xVE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://youtu.be/jv_G6xf5xVE
be very careful with this model of stove as aluminum does burn and before it starts to burn it gets soft.
If you don't feel inclined to make one yourself (and of course, if you do, you get all that Heini to drink ) look in Vendors as an inmate sells them for a couple bucks.
In all honesty, buying a pre-made one isn't nearly as appealing to me. I love making stuff like this myself... It's better when I come up with the idea myself and make it, but putting it together isn't half bad either. When part of the build process requires drinking a beer, it's only that much better! Thanks for the heads up though. BTW, just in case anyone else would be considering buying one, who's selling them and for how much? I would think it might take awhile to wade through the vendors section to find it. If you don't know off the top of your head, don't worry about it.
I have to say other than my xr650r, a pair of 509 goggles w/ polarized lenses. For 50-85 bucks they are worth every penny. I don't have to wear my sunglasses any more and put up with crap in my contacts.
