GreyDevil, It is a tradition that I take our children on their first big motorcycle camping adventure just before they go to 6th grade. I may have started with my oldest when she was 10, just before 5th grade. We rode up the Mississippi to the north shore of Lake Superior.....camped at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. She later rode with me when she was college age to the Mark Twain National Forest in southern Missouri. Just start them young as soon as their feet rest comfortbly on the pegs and do overnight camps around home. You will have camping partners for life.
