Haven't heard too much discussion about this, so I thought I'd stick it here for info. It's on today (Sunday 18th Nov) at the Gawler showgrounds.

Amongst several things being exhibited or on display is Peter from Hoey Racing, who loves talking to people about their suspension problems. Plus a heap of old bikes...

I saw a promo sign for this as we went through Gawler on the way home form the Flinders. I could clean out my shed of old riding gear, a DRZ250 and a WRF290. Wouldn't my wife be happy!

Gawler has changed in the 30 years since I last visited there.

Trashed my bike yesterday on the Bunyeroo Gorge road. 1 busted rib, busted thumb and a punctured lung. Was having the trip of a lifetime up till that moment. In tbd HDU at Port Augusta Hospital. Grrrrr

Thanks Kipo, my brother has come up from Adelaide, grabbed what's left if my bike and is picking me up soon. Not looking forward to the drive home.

We were looking for Niel's Tractor parts to pick up some bits for BRR's new header.

I am looking forward to a slower tour of the mid -North areas of S.A. in the future. Itwould be good to meet you guys.

righto ... the new (to me) DR has a crack in the subframe ... just below the passenger footpeg. The bike's clearly taken a hit there and the member is a little bent up and in. Net result is that the front pipe mount isn't where it should be and the bum end of the header rubs aainst the shock spring. I need to find someone who can bend it back into shape and weld it up - or I suppose I could cut it and reshape it prior to getting someone t weld it back together.

So: recommendations for someone in Adelaide (I'm just north of North Adelaide) who does this kind of work?

Bit of a bummer - it's been welded, but not completely fixed - don't reckon th previous owner even realised the extent of the damage Airbox mounting tabs are busted too - I'm quite handy with epoxy and scrap bits of plastic though :)

Some nice trails below the Flinders....maybe you Green Triangle mob need to work out a time for a trip over here and meet up with some of us folks.....although Cougar says that might not be a good idea!!!!
