Indicated mid March became end of June (Europe) when I put an order and paid it. Money back fast from mynetmoto.com
These guys are selling out fast! I am about to pull the trigger, but the only rear they have released is the 140/80-18. After reading up on all the 150 vs 140 threads, I am wondering if I should wait until the 150/70-18 is released. Anyone want to chime in what they would do?
i have an SE so i'll probably give it a go on the 140 size but if it were me, I'd wait for the 150 for the ADV. more weight and more than likely a bit more durable as you'd have a wider footprint to distribute the wear over, so you should get much better mileage and handling out of the 150 size compared to the 140. but then again what do I know... not in English but it does have subtitles. looks good for the tire if you are wanting something durable but still handle some off road decently.. http://youtu.be/9Qy82xJi9Lg
Next availability of 150/70-18 shows June 7th in distributors inventory- retailers to follow that date
Thank you. I dont leave until August for my 2 week road trip north. Ill just wait. This tire seems good for my needs of road/gravel time. We will see just how well it works and how long it lasts.
Id be interested to know how they go- post an update once you get them and you have a chance evaluate dirt & street.
Just ordered one this morning, it didn't show back ordered. Hope it comes soon not much left on the scorps. bete
I think it only had 3000km on it and it was 30% worn. He was saying it should last the 10,000km to get him to Tashkent.
You're right. I assumed new tires were mounted since Km 0 and actually it was at the 10,625 km mark so yes, he's showing the tire wear at 13,124 km, just 2,500 km later...
I put the 140 on my adventure and am perfectly happy with it right now. I've already been lectured about the cross section and all that, but I only use the center part anyways so I figured it didn't matter.
Yes please, some pics would be appreciated. I'm really undecided between these and the Conti TAs. I know it's apples and oranges, but still. The TAs get exceptional reviews everywhere, great mileage, great on road, acceptable on hard dirt. My problem is I love riding the sandy tracks in FL and not sure the Contis will do well there... These seem like a good compromise.
I'll post some this evening when I get home. I was riding a tractionator, so I'm completely amazed by how quiet this tire is compared to the noise I was making before. I haven't had it off the tarmac yet as we've been through a veritable monsoon since I've put it on, but hopefully I'll get the chance here this weekend.
