Yeh... love it up there. I love riding ridges like that. 70mph dirt :augie

Micheaux? Never heard of it. :lol3
There is a Christian Retreat, if that floats your boat. :dunno

I don't think you'll have to wander far in the Catoctin before you meet the secret service. I refrain from such behavior. Just boring ol (legal) gravel roads for me.

You are more than welcome to use my photos.

And back on the road Sunday 7/2 Making for Chapel Hill NC.

I was meeting a WW2 Hero (Dr. Jones) for breakfast on Monday. I recently found out that my Father was part of the most infamous beach landings in Europe and Africa in WW2. My Dad's ship the LST327 picked up Dr. Jones in Anzio and transported him to a safe port.
I'll introduce you to him and add details later... It's a great story that I have decided to tell here.

Quite superior photography Jack. And it looks as though you are taking bungees and cargo nets to the next level with that load.

I've been mostly absent from ADV for the past year or so, just haven't plugged into the community out here like I did back east. This thread is a balm for my soul every time I check back on these boards though. I miss riding with YFFs on the right coast, even if I like living out here in the sand more.

Send me a PM/text/smoke signal if you're coming down this-a-way. I'll buy you both some Green Chili Apple Pie (much better than it sounds).

Great pictures! Keep on rollin'! :tb

Hey.. it's easy to blame the guy who ain't here. :freaky

Looks like Scotty and me are planning an assault on the 4 corners area sometime next summer. :lol3 So...... smoke signals will fly!!!

I know I teased the story about my Dad's WW2 service, and visiting a Sailor he tended to. I'm about 1/2 the way through writing it, so I'll move on to a coupla trips to PA. :D

It's to the point that all I have to do is start one of my bikes and it takes me to PA or WV. :lol3:lol3 I'm such a mountain gravel HO>...

We used to do the Michaux Enduro and a bunch of the hood would be waving from the fenceposts in their Sunday best. :norton Watch for carriage! Great place. Glad that I have gotten to ride the roads and trails of that area.

    Hey Patrick,

Rough game plan is to trailer out to Buena Vista CO to start the COBDR south and pick up the UTBDR north. I think Big dog adventures is working on connecting the two on the north end. He'll validate this Sept.

You and Chub are welcome to jump IN and Out as your schedule allows. Or you could just ride the whole thing with us:wink:

Clown out! Back to the purty pixs:D

Yeh man... I grew up within 5 miles of Rothrock and just love the ruralness of central PA... From top to bottom.

Nice Scotty. I'm still planning to take JaxWife out there.... Though she is now scoffing and sporting an "I'll believe that when I see it" attitude.:lol3

Oh ye of little faith. Well... I suppose in her defense, I have promised trips in the past that I didn't deliver :augie You'll see.:deal:evil
