Looks like Lyndon might be having the ride of his life. I'm sure the course suits his riding style, and he seems to be right in the zone at mid 30's - not influenced by front runners, and just riding his own ride!

    So happy for him! :clap

I thought the second part was common? I read it a few pages back, haven't had tome to check the maps...

Looking at the tracker it doesn't make much sense. Late to DSS maybe, tracker broken on his bike maybe..or he has stopped before wp4 :huh

Why are so many people having trouble? Isn't today mostly forest roads?

It may be, I just remember hearing that the bike coarse was too tight for the trucks so they would be on a different route.

I think they can't register a new carb'd bike in Europe after 2015 or so? So that will force their hand.

Plenty of FI bikes have made it thru just fine (including Safariberg's ingeniously developed Husabergs, which I haven't heard of a single FI issue with).

What amazes me is that it's taken this long for motorcycle FI to start working reasonably well- come on, it's only been 50 years we've had pretty flawless FI on cars? This shouldn't even be something worth talking about... but of course "shouldn't" and "isn't" are rarely synonymous in this or any other context.

Ms Sanz has disappeared. She should have passed WP5 a while ago.....

    Edit

Doh, she just popped up running 79th. Lost a lot of time there, hopefully time she'll get back for helping someone. She had a great pace this morning

Can anyone help me figure out where Cyril is relative to other riders? He started 20 minutes behind the leader I think... so does that mean he's physically near Bianchi Prata?

Totally different route. Cars and Bikes cross a (dry?) lake sections while the trucks run north of it.

Despres showing how its done :)

Okay, okay, he did start in 11th spot today so he can make up the gap easier then Barreda who had to open, but still, I like it :)

I'm with you here, I would have thought the relatively high tune of bikes compared to cars would have spawned more advancements in FI than the other way around. When was the last time anyone could buy a new car with a carb? I can't even remember.
