Hey ya'll "manganos" here. Hey if anyone is looking for a radar detector for those "out of state trips" :evil I have one listed in the flea market. Beltronics STIDriver. The ONLY one that is safe against Spectre and VG2. By the way VSP uses Spectre :deal

Just saw the new Tron Legacy movie (excellent) at the Byrd Theatre tonight with my 14 year old son.The movie had some great bikes scenes... a sweet vintage Ducati and some really cool light cycles.Had dinner at the Galaxy Cafe beforehand...definitely an Outta This World Cool Night !! :happay

I'm betting that the LittleFlyFarmer will do better than a 1" wheelie!
    :lol3

Good to hear the KLX is getting straightened out. Y'all are going to have a blast together this summer. I wish we could join in on the fun. Maybe next year.

    Chuck,

Glad to hear you're healing up. I need shoulder surgery, and I keep putting it off. I can't imagine being out of action for a couple of months - not to mention being tortured by a therapist.

The GL is really purty! I've always had a soft spot in my heart for one of those bikes. They really are amazing motorcycles.

Okay, last post for the day. :deal

I wish I could do the ride today w/ Eddy et al, but I'm taking a bunch of kids from my shooting team to Orapax Plantation right after church to do a quail hunt.

Yesterday was awesome! We conducted the 3rd annual Virginia State Archery Championship for the National Archery in the Schools Program. :clap

We had over 500 kids shooting on 39 lanes in the new Farm Bureau Building at Meadow Park in Caroline County. It was an amazing day. Archery is a sport in which the jocks can compete right next to the cheerleaders, right next to the nerds, right next to the goths, right next to the special needs kids. One of the kids in the top 25 is wheelchair bound. What other school sport allows this awesome kid to compete on equal ground with more able bodied students? Man, I love it! I'll post up a few pics after I get them processed.

Y'all have fun today. My sermon is finished - my coffee is finished (the whole pot!). Now I just need to load up the 'burb for the quail hunt and go!

    Blessings my friends!

    - Jimmy

    Hey Ed,
How true that is... on both accounts. The two different bikes and the therapist ripping off my arm. I had to have a talk with her. A tap out is just that, a tap out. Its hurts and I need you to STOP! :lift

    Jimmy,
If you get surgery early enough its not so bad. It's when you wait to long and it starts to tear other areas of the shoulder. All soft tissue in there.

Naw it ain't got much power, but it should keep him out of trouble. I'm betting it's going to be a good bike in tight or rough stuff. Anyway, I'm resolved to go west every summer, unless gas goes to $7 a gallon or the country absolutely melts down. Then I'm going to hole up in hillbilly heaven and hunker down. Come on go with us next year.

Radiated Spectre emissions have been known to affect urine test results. Better get rid of that detector now. :lol3

Betty tried to coerce me into going, but I have a lot of stuff I need to get done. Made good progress and about to raise some (very heavy) steel into place.

Took my youngest out to Charles City MX track today for some thrashing. Had a great time, and she loved it. She was getting more air off the jumps than I was.

I had a blast... very scenic ride!

Here's a picture - it's like a modern day "Washington Crossing the Delaware" except the weather is good, everyone is happy, and they check your bike for contraband before you are allowed on the boat.

Celtic Woman's Songs from the Heart. They just did a rendition of O'America that was to die for. Very nicely done.

EDIT: They just did Amazing Grace, and I totally lost it.

We had a good ride and it was good to see fellow ADV'ers. I'm glad you came along Mitch! We were definately in the minority out there today. It seemed like 90% of the other bikes were either sport bikes with a lot of chrome and "phat" rear tires or garden variety Harley's.
The GSX1100 ran great! I had to let her strech her legs once! :evil

Would anybody be in on a full day ride in a couple of weeks? I'll check with my "boss" and see how the family schedule looks. I was thinking about heading west and doing either the 39 Goshen Pass/220 N to Montery and back down 250 loop or maybe some of the roads around Wintergreen and Montibello. There's a hole in the wall place up there called the Blue Ridge Pig that does a good sandwich!

P.S. Mitch, they only check you for contraband if you ride a black and chrome bike and wear leather chaps! They didn't bother US!
