    Yes - 3 :D

For the record I have disabled Trip A, Trip 2 and Consumption 2 on my display as I never use them, even on trips. But I know lots of people like to keep track so it's nice to have the option.

Yes, with the OBC Pro option it gets the A. Standard as 1 and 2.

It's mentioned in the rider's manual which you can download from BMWs site. That might help you through a few more hours.

I've done some reading in there to get time by, but it's so damn boring and stupidly written (folks at my office would puke on the desk if we came up with instructions or explanations like that) that I put it aside and just wait for the bike.

It's good to know some stuff is in there just so you can reference it. Good example being torque values on calipers, etc. You don't need to memorize the stuff you don't use often, just know that it's a source to get the answer.

Ha! The manual doesn't even read like lowest common denominator English (4th grade level or something)... More like a google translation from German to French and then to English...

Since it has date, does it also follow daylight savings?

Also, first time I heard it can work with GPS 4 and 5.

What's the difference between these two? :scratch

    Average consumption 1
    (CONS 1)
    Average consumption 2
    (CONS 2)

I was just looking through it myself and I could not agree with you more. I've left it by the bedside so I have trouble falling asleep tonight I'll just thumb through a couple of pages... :rofl

which is probably exactly how the manual was derived

yes, the GPS navigator four and now five will "talk" to the bike when they are connected. It'll be nice to have the clock on the bike and see exact time. I'm just the kind of nerd who thinks that's cool :lol3

I believe it allows you to keep a record of MPG per tank full and for an entire trip simultaneously

To reset the fuel consumption readings, just hold down the "Info" button. I reset #1 each time I fuel up. I leave #2 run. 8000 miles now and #2 reads 48 MPG

Thanks to both of you! So, since I have never reset either, presumably I have average fuel consumption for the life of the bike on both? I like the idea of zeroing each tank; faster that getting out the calculator. Although I did disconnect the battery a couple of times. I wonder if that zeroes them out.

If it's like the old one, which I believe it is, you can cycle through all the "resettable" parameters with the info button and hold the info button down on the current one to reset that.

I normally only use one of them. The OBC Pro lets you remove options from the info cycling, so I might cut a few out there. We'll see how it feels with standard behavior before I customize anything.
