Kansas riders hope to invade NMTA friday!

Dad and I are pretty committed to be a NMTA this Friday by hopefully 3pm.
As long as the Tornado/weather/what have ya, miss us again, I can hardly wait to meet some of you NMTA guys, from ADV.

Well Mitch, before I forget and I know you`ve been around. The down hills are so long that you can sieze a motor if you do not use the throttle. So remind your dad to gas it on the down hills. I would hate to see you come all this way to ruin a top end!

Could be an interesting week-end in the Semi-Ex class with Chris J and Sting there as well.

Sipapu can be a hard place to ride. I`ve gone from first place on saturday to dead last on sunday!

So Sting how hard a trials do you want. A nice rideable line, or one that would require the human kickstand to catch your breath halfway through the section at 9000ft?
While you are driving I`ll be out clerking the sections! So speak how you want`em. Fun, easy, hard, hairball or just right!
PS All the good world round riders are a little on the short side too.

You know I'll be taking advantage of being able to stop with my foot down : Now line, don't go out of your way to make a hard ass trials on my behalf, its not like Justin is on his way out lol.

To be fully honest, I want just what you guys normally ride and feel comfortable riding, difficulty be whatever normal to tough... because I want to compare myself to your guys.

I can only hope that I have a good day of riding and finish really well in comparison. Sure I'd love to come down there and win but that's not the only reason I'm going. I don't need to drive 580 miles to be in some mood that it's all about the win. I will be disappointed in myself if I screw up and don't ride very well. But the biggest reason for going is because I love riding and competing with fellow like minded people.

I just like to see everyone have a good time! Sipapu is usually hard because it is so steep and people always try to out do the other guy with section difficulty. I try to keep them within reason. Come on down and have a good ride!!

I trust the TM's and Bob will make the event a lot of fun but still challenging. Sipapu is always challenging if nothing else. It's hard to beat riding sections on the steep ski slopes with amazing views and scenery in every direction. Sipapu is truly an amazing place for an event. Looking forward to what you guys have in store for us Bob!!

Mike which way do we want to come up the hill? Mom ask someone at the lodge, they suggested we come up the hill from TAOS? Im like sheet, that adds more time, is the road on east side of Sip that bad?

I take the road out of Las Vegas, NM easy drive.

Just google the route to sipapu. Northern New Mexicans think Kansas is a fictional place. 518 is good, not sure on the shortcut from I25.

I have taken NM161 from I25 over to 518 in my MH pulling a trailer. Its a bit slow going but saves going all the way south to Las Vegas. Get to see a lot of rural NM. By the way Vintage Trials Rocks!!!

Awesome time fellas! I'm really glad you came out to ride with us. It really motivated me to come out and ride for the first time in 7 months on a borrowed bike with no front brakes!
