BGS is willing to open early on Sunday (for reals, I even asked)... We'll just have to have a realistic request to them a day or two before especially if it's just for coffee. Note: As of now they do NOT have a menu. So building your own breakfast, or sandwiches for lunch is an "anything you see in the deli case and more" affair, so don't be shy if you want avocado with your pastrami!
OK, I will chime in! I would eat breakfast there around 8 - 9 AM if they're open. I will commit to making coffee Sunday morning before leaving,(at the Rest Room area) but if the store had some breakfast sandwiches made up and we knew they would be there, many of us would probably stop down rather than hitting the road on an empty stomach. :dg
Spent the weekend doing the Puppy Dog so my buddy and I spent Fri night at Silver Lake. Very pleased to see the General Store open but I concur about subs - no real menu, tell em what you want and they will probably be able to do it. Little strange but there ya go...
Yup! Tis 8, and breakfast sammichis is made to order... But if they open at 7 for us, then we'll have til 8 to get our orders in. I'll try to convince them a menu is useful, even if it's just a list of ingredients/options...
Totally agree - when we went in on Friday, we had no idea they did subs - we asked and they said they did and they asked what we wanted. Er...what do you have.... A menu (with prices) would be so much easier.
Looks like I am going to miss this one, my wife just booked us a week long road trip to Virginia starting on the 21st..
As of this post, we can look at the chalkboard behind the counter, find prices for different sized sandwiches, and all the ingredients listed logically by Meat, Cheese, and Veggies. I would post a picture, but you've all seen chalkboards at sandwich places. If not, go have an adventure. GUY: your adventures are probably away from places that let you buy things, so you're forgiven.
I'm thinking about trucking a little bike over on Thursday. Have to leave Saturday night, though. Is anyone else planning gnarly, minimal pavement rides for Friday and Saturday? Will I be able to get my truck out after 6pm on Saturday?
sadly i won't make cromag this year. it conflicts with another riding event that i'm doing. i'll be in frickin' colorado & utah (moab) riding! my motorcycle virgin trip to the west! i will miss cromag and all y'all FFs. i'm trying to talk brazen into doing it herself but i'm thinking that ain't gonna happen.
Off course we will miss you, but I am sure the group that comes up from farther south would be glad to have Brazen along so it is not be all alone.
