Tony, is there a remote increment/decrement/reset for the tripmeter?

There is no actual remote control unit included...:cry (The mentioned functions are available for external access!!!)
What can be done, though, is that you're able to attach an original ICO remote, or similar. I'll be attaching a waterproof cable on to the rear of the tripmaster, which'll allow a 1:1 connection to an original ICO remote (the cable with the M8 screw around it).

The other option would be to make the roadbook/tripmaster combi switch, that is if I get enough people together for the production costs to be worth it...

    Great!
    Now we're getting somewhere :clap

My sample cases are arriving some time this week, I hope :D
I'll post pics of them once they're here, so stay tuned!!!

I contacted the CNC shop to see when I'd be getting my cases.
They said they'd have them finished by this Wednesday, but anodizing them would take another 2 days, so they'll be shipped of to me on Friday, or Monday at latest. !!!CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER!!!!

Now, to the roadbook/tripmaster combi switch. I have pre-designed one, as you can tell from the pic below. I'll talk to the CNC guys to see what it'll cost to get some made.

I have to admit, it does look damn fine!:evil

Pretty accurate to the latest model from Marc Coma's bike:

Should the manufacturing cost not be all to high, I'll be opening a new thread under "Vendors" soon...

I´ll have to rephrase that one.

If you can make the remote(übernice by the way) I´m in for:
    1: 2 x ICO
    2: 1 x repeater
    1: 1 x remote

    But only if its "remoted".

    Keep up the superb work.

Tony, thanks for the email today. Yes, I am in for a repeater and case, as it looks like my CNC guy is in the process of moving to a new location. Looks great, and let me know when you have some RB/ICO switches available as well. :freaky

    Hey guys,

Haven't received anything yet. NO REASON TO PANIC (DAMMIT, I CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER)! :lol3

This time I want to know from you guys what sort of extra features you'd like to be included with both devices.

    Here a couple of examples.
    Tripmaster:
    - 1, 2 or 3 individual trips? How should they be displayed, to show each trip differently?
    - Odometer (permanently saved)?
    - Speed in km/h and mph, too?
    - ...

    Repeater:
    - Speed in km/h and mph, too?
    - ...

I was asked by a few guys whether it was possible to have a tripmaster and repeater unit in one. Unfortunately this can't be done, due to the limited hardware resources on the circuit boards... :cry So it's either one, or the other.

If you guys have any further suggestions, then I'll see what can be done, and try to include them into the software!

    Stay tuned!

Not yet. I'm still awaitng my sample cases. Once I have them I'll "crunch the numbers" :D

Estimated costs a.t.m (so nothing final!!!):

    Tripmaster: 150€
    Repeater: 200€
    Combo Remote: 175€

What are you using for a pickup for the TM (and is it included in whatever the price ends up being)?

That's also been a bit of a problem to solve...

The system uses a simple 2 wire proximity switch, just like the original ICO. You can use the original ICO sensor.

I was thinking of also making my one ones, as it isn't all to difiicult to make them: an M8 screw witht the appropriate sensor and sturdy cable installed in it.

I'll do my best to include a sensor within the estimated price from before! If you prefer not to have one, i.e. build your own, or use your original KTM one, then I can give you a discount or something.

    Before I forget:

If anybody is going to order an item, whether it be a tripmaster, repeater or remote (or all :evil), I'll need for you to put down a deposit.
This is just to make sure that I don't order any parts, then somebody backs out from the deal at the last minute, possibly leaving me not able to sell the parts at the end... (I'm still a poor teenager investing all his savings into these projects!!! :cry)

I was thinking of about 50€ per item (roughly 1/3 to 1/4 of the final price). Once I get the deposit, I'll start and complete your order and you can pay me the remaining costs once finished.

I hope you all can understand this and agree! :D

BTW: Does anybody know how PayPal fees work for international transactions??? Had a look at their site, but it was really confusing :confused

I think that's great news for those who plan to actually rally their units -- they'll have a much greater chance of finding a spare if they're compatible with the "standard" ICO. :thumb

    :lurk

Neat stuff. I've been looking to ditch the IP on my F650GS in favor of something like the Tripmaster that was on my KTM 625SXC. This seems pretty close for a lot less dosh. I'd just like it to have:
    - 2 trips (both adjustable and resetable)
    - 1 ODO (not easily resetable)
    - 1 Speedo
    - 1 Clock
    - Handlebar control

As for units: if it was switchable between km and mi that would be good.

    Cheers

Tony, just noticed this in another thread:

Is my high school math that rusty, or can't you just apply a km/mi conversion factor to the wheel circumference? :scratch

    Yes Cmph = 0.62137 * Ckm/h

Ckm/h = Wheel circumference in mm.
Cmph = Wheel circumference to enter for mph
