ha, well its gonna be in the same spot till i get that cover back and one other part in the mail. should be next weekend i hope. any idea how many sp's were sold here? it is pretty obscure the more i read of them.
I bought an '86 DR600 Dakar last year and was disappointed to find the head/cam thrashed and the counterbalancer chain broken. It ran so I bought it. What can you do - buyer beware. I now have it stripped and starting the rebuild. The head was difficult to find until I found out about the SP600s. I got a head out of California and I'm going to paint the frame once it warms up. I'm looking forward to riding it this year (fingers crossed).
There's an SP600 on Craigslist in CT. I'd buy it if I had the room, but I already have 5 bikes. http://newhaven.craigslist.org/mcy/2226328223.html It's been there since Jan 18th. Seeing that I paid $800 for mine in 1991 it seems a little pricey.
post some pictures of that dakar 600 you might be able to use a 90-95 dr650 engine too i have been thinking of using the sp/dr600 head and headpipe on 91 dr650 i wonder why suzuki changed the head
well i got my sump part in the mail. just waiting on the welder to get my cover back to me. hes a busy guy and my job is not high on his priority list. wont be long though. pics to come when i get it sealed up proper!
My TS185 I bought brand new. It was my first real motorcycle. I thought it was great. If I had my SP600 then I might of got all the chicks? NAW
seeing these pictures of that old 185 brings back a lot of memories Tudelum.. that thing did lots stuff that it shouldn't have..and it too was very ugly like most zukies..gonna hunt for some old zukies in my travels this summer..we travel lots of forgotten roads .. gonna look for chrome fenders first..
Dancer be careful about the ZUKI talk. I have pictures of you on a Harley, and I aint afraid to showem.
great pic! if you were to put the "suzuki" logo script in white in the bottem left, and "sp600" in red on the top right, i might think its a brochure. reminds me of the time i spent in western NC. and youre absolutely right, i need some new pics. if what the welder said the last i talked to him is true i should have something new to show thursday. heres hoping for that to work out
when i get the parts bike i can paint the body work red and have a almost sp600 or black its very nice too http://www.suzukicycles.org/SP-series/SP600.shtml http://www.suzukicycles.org/DR-series/DR600_adverts.shtml
I got a 1950 Harley Hydra Glide to get running. (Not to rare) and a 1966 106cc Sears. If you think this SP600 thread is rare a 106 Sears thread would be one short line.
