I rode the 650R and C14 this year, having ridden the 1000 at the last demo day.

    Meet Goldilocks.

In high school, when all I did was read Motorcyclist and study spec sheets, Sportsters weren't cool. When I started buying and maintaining bikes, air-cooled bikes with hydraulic valve adjusters made life easy. When I started wringing the shit out of a relatively underpowered rubbermount XL883 and getting better gas mileage than my old KLR, I found a keeper. It costs nothing to maintain and it has charactor. When the right deal comes around, there will be an XR or XL1200R to keep the 883 company at the house.
