Here's your second one after fooling with it in Picassa a little bit. Neither of our cameras have big enough sensors to overcome the big shadow in the lower left.

It was closed last summer, too (or maybe the summer of 2011?). It's been closed, on and off, for about thirty years.

    I think it's just closed.

My home internet connection stinks, so feel free to pirate into my smuggy, I'd share it if bandwidth allowed.

And the record shows that it was never actually a world-shaking site, or world-shaking technology... but it did sort of give the world a little bit of a quiver, for a minute or two there :deal

I have some Canadian enduro friends who used to ride there.
They called it the border trail because you went in and out of Canada several times.
This was in the late 90's,after Bulls assassination.

One more interesting bit- according to several people who worked there, they actually were able to fire a 'projectile' (actually a 2-stage piece) into a stable orbit from the North Troy/Highwater site, where (I think) they only had permission to test fire into the mountainside. The whole thing was closed down when I moved to the area, but kids that grew up there said the test-fires would knock things off the shelves and pictures off the walls.

It's weird- Bull was building a better buggy whip, even after the world had moved on to supercharged v-12s.

<S>Not that there's anything wrong with that. Or that I'm jealous or anything.

I just woke up underneath this thing a few hours ago. :huh It took me a while to get my bearings and get back home; I was in a big field way over near South Boston. I have no idea how I got there... I managed to snap a pic just before the, whatever it is, flew off.

A guy from where I work just had the same problem and wrote a song about it.
