Well.. now that everyone in the group is back home (USA, Canada, UK and Italy) and settled back in to their normal schedules, maybe we have time to share about the ride and the chase. The trip included MUCH MORE than the Dakar! Heck! We are in Peru, and to just see the coastal desert would be criminal! Due to many conditions, we were not able to do this while "in route". So the 13 of us will share this amazing trip, one day at a time, in chronological order, so others can "ride along". It's a good way of filling the 50 boring weeks of the year that there is NO DAKAR ! :huh The Route, starting and ending in Cuzco, Peru:
Poolman, Thank you for the enthusiasm! We will begin soon. Everyone is organizing their photos. Read your "Sacred Valley" report. Guess what? I now own the motos you rode on. I bought 4 of Alex's bikes last December! Come back and ride them again! What is your secret to pictures that are clear, but do not end up too big?? :huh Toby
Toby, Wow, what a small world! Alex Luna is a great guy to work with, and the little Honda NX400 Falcon is a fantastic bike. If they were sold in the USA I would definitely buy one. My Sacred Valley photos were shot using an inexpensive waterproof point & shoot Olympus. I took the photos in high resolution and then let photobucket resample to 1024 x 768 during upload. I didn't take the time to do any processing. Looking forward to the ride report! Cheers,
