Anyone know the difference between a 950 Adventure and 950 SE front end? I bought a used set of wheels for a SE and wanted to convert them for an Adventure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
Valving and springs the SE uses .60 the ADV uses a.52 the SE also has slight different steering geometry . If you have aADV get your self some SE springs world of difference , Wheels SE single rotor Adv twin rotor , You can convert the ADV to single rotor cheaply but way more expensive to convert SE to twin rotor
I already have it converted to single rotor. Do you know if the front axle/forks are the same? I know it's a different spring rate. What about rear end? Are the rear wheels and swing arm the same?
Hmmmm. Well I think the set of wheels I got aren't for an SE then. The front is a smaller axle. Rear has different spacers. Otherwise I think it will work. Looks like ill be calling RAD wheels tomorrow.
The axles and fork lugs are not the same. Super Enduros share similar axle lugs with the smaller KTMs (150 to 690) with a machined groove for the speedo pickup. Adventures have there own fork lugs to accommodate the larger axle. Adventures come stock with .48kg for springs, Super Enduros come with .59kg. Valving spec's between the two are drastically different. Can you post some pictures of the wheels, it's fairly easy to spot the differences.
As KaaJa, you just need the right wheel spacers for your model, then they will fit. The bearings and hubs are the same except for the second disc flange on the front.

Looks like a nice set of RAD Mfg wheels for a Super Enduro. I'm viewing these pictures on an iPhone, but pretty sure they fit the SE. Nice wheels!

I'd give RAD a call, they will be able to break it down for you. I would think you could swap the spacer's for it to work but never tried. Best of luck to you!

The folks at RAD are awesome! They did the research and apparently All Balls stocks a set of bearing that will allow a 30 mm axle. A stock SE is 26mm and an adventure is 30mm. I have RAD making my spacers to spec. On another note the rear wheel from an SE is not a direct replacement. The only difference is the spacer on the disc side is narrower. I'm not sure what the SE has for a rear brake but my guess is its a different caliper/caliper bracket. Or the swing arm is just wider on the SE. Here are my measurements and part numbers for bearings and seals to convert (Note: this is only for RAD hubs. The front is a single disc hub and rear is different from adv). All Balls numbers: Bearings x2: 20-1024 Seals x2: 30-5210 EDIT: Front spacers: RH: .292" no shoulder LH: .635" no shoulder Center spacer should be the same length just bigger ID to accommodate the 30mm axle. Rear spacer (disc side) .65" with no shoulder Sprocket side is the same Ill keep everyone updated on the progress.

So...$30 later and the bearings and seals are on their way Oh Joy!!! More great customer service from All Balls Racing. Im used to people begrudging my attempts at customization. Some people are just too close minded. Its nice to deal with people that are willing to think a bit out of the box and help someone. RAD and All Balls are those kind of people. Defintiely will do business with them again.
