Yes,you're right. I don't understand why he didn't just ride it out. https://www.youtube.com/embed/iYnDlJyacSs
The best view yet. I see no "target fixation" Barcia rear ended Dungey. http://www.pulpmx.com/videos/videos/Shots_Fired_web.mp4
Ok I hope this was a joke but if not I think somebody is way over thinking what happened..stewart looked over as he was about to get T Boned..no target fixation. Millsaps had them cleared anyway by the time the SHTF ...Reed lost it tangled with Grant and down they all went Reed was not trying to to set up for the turn he was trying to survive at that point with Grant caught up in his backside.
so....Gordy and I are locked in for Dallas on Feb 16th. Cowboys Stadium website states no camera's allowed with detachable lens 3 inch or bigger. :huh any input appreciated...
I wonder why ? they think you might use a lens that big as a weapon...or creep on girls in the distance
I never noticed one way or the other last year. Phoenix had signs all over (and I think it was on the tickets) that video recording was not allowed but everyone was shooting with phones, point n shoots and small video recorders. No one was concerned at all. What's the worst that could happen?
Put your stubby 20mm lens on the camera to get by the camera check, and as someone else suggested, smuggle the 300mm lens in your pants. You'll get great shots, and pick up chicks as well. Win win.
See if there is a way to cruise to the stands directly from the pits, and do so among bikes moving that way.
They check, they made my wife open her purse, of course she had a bottle of water and they made her throw it away before they let us in. .
Flug, I have been going to many SX races for years and yes, they DO check, but I have never had any trouble getting a camer and big lense in. I put the camera and lense at the bottom of a pack with many layers of clothing on top of it. They check, but they never dig. Worst case scenario you have to walk back to the car to put it away before you can go in. I've never seen anyone hassled for a camera once they are inside. I went to Oakland last weekend, and I dind't take a camera (because I was taking my 6 year old to his first ever SX), but I took all the food and drinks I wanted. Just pack creatively.
Went to Oakland last weekend with friends and they brought a big lens. there was concern in line because they had metal detectors and it was like airport security minus the shoes part. Keys and phones in the bin, slide along through the detector. We picked a good line though. They didn't look in the camera bag, nor did they stop my friend when the lens in his jacket set off the red lights on the detector! doh. I prefer to let the guys with the media jackets take pics. I just wanted to see the SX spectacle up close, and that part was great. Not so keen on the drunk crowd, the security, or the deathmarch from overflow parking a mile away ($30!!!) Went to Metcalf on sunday and actually burned some laps of the MX track. Good weekend. :)
