Just carry extra. I know that the bike's suspension is set up for a little more beef than you're carting around so there's room, weight wise....

Have been advised by Dave at Ango that all cabins are now booked. Dorm is $22 pp pn and camping is $11 pp pn.

About 20 dorm beds and unlimited camping spots still available.

    55 starters already.:lol3

Good onya DD...hope you can make it, it's turning quite National with some NSW riders making their way too. Two of my doctors are coming also, both are extremely capable in emergency situations- someone for you to talk professionaly - but they ride BMW800's, so there's a downside.

    I still remember that I owe you a beer.:lol3

    cheers

    Hi Trev

I'm in. Would you put me down for camping on FSS please?

I'm trailering a bike up. Probably the DR for this one. Much more suited to the rough stuff than the KLR.

    :-)

Done Mike, look forward to catching up with you there. Not so rough anymore....when we were up there in August they had puta bobcat/grader through 2/3rds of the tracks from Moolooloo to the ruins, but the last part is still rugged. Anyways, the rains might have sorted it out by next April.

    cheers

Would be good to see you there again DD.

Maybe one year some of us SA Adv Riders should head over to The Grampians for say a 2 day ride around the area on some of those sweet tracks you gave me the info on last year.

We could base ourselves at the Halls Gap caravan park.

    Cheers, Sol..:thumb

I would like to put my hand up for that ride Sol :nod
I did a one day ride there a few years ago on the GSA.
Some great looking tracks around there.
My bro and myself have been talking about doing that ride for a while now.

That's the start of a good idea, Sol. There are lotsa great camping spots all over the Gramps and I'm discovering trails aplenty the more I explore there. Some of the best ones are still closed from our big wet of last year, so I'll keep you posted. Maybe March next year... I'll speak with some of the Central/ Western/ Green Triangle guys and see what we can nut out.

The Central Vic/SW Vic leg of the Cancer Ride is scheduled to be coming through the Grampians around March/April(ish).....Maybe a few of you Souf Ozzies can jump on the band wagon and incorporate that somehow. Be good to get a continuation into SA this year for the Spanner. Speak to me or Miss Jane if interested in trying to nut something out.

There ya go...perfect timing! Sounds like a plan, Gags. I think that would be a reasonable alternative to the South West wander of this year's relay, especially with a few more Gramps tracks dried out over summer. Just need to make sure Martin "rain-maker" MTrain isn't in form!
