Thanks for the link. BMW still off the pace, and from the article it sounds like they are still groping in the dark. From earlier tests, I thought they'd be much closer to the front group.

Glad to hear Laverty is expected back for the race, that would be good news.

Checa still on point. He may be tough to beat this year.

Oh well, at least the pit crews are getting plenty of practice rebuilding mashed bikes in a hurry.....

But as the team is saying; the extra weight is a little more easily managed at the Island, as opposed to some of the tighter circuits, where it could be quite a problem...

Here's the weather forecast for next weekend. In a word; DODGY. :deal

The guys are about to hit the track for their last official 2 day test session before next weekends opener. Some of them have been quite open about the fact that they are taking a slightly different approach, only having one bike and all....(a rolling chassis is allowed). But having said that, as we all know, these guys are serious racers, and when the flag drops...:rofl

Anyway, here's the full entry lists for the coming weekend, and the test. Along with the usual 'Numbers'.

    Presented by Leon and Marco.

I know he won't be at the island, but I predict Hopper will win a race this year. I love his replacement also, too bad they don't have a jump at PI for the "King of the Mountain"!

Some quick bits from the Island; Laverty was an interested spectator today, and says he will race this weekend.

Haslem had big off at turn 12. beleived to have a broken ankle. Morning top 5; Checa, Max Rea Haslem Sykes. Now they say Haslem will race. (?)

That's some very sad news for us Leon fans. In fact it's a shame there are so many injuries in general before the racing has even started.

If they keep testing, half the field will be out before round one even starts. :huh

And still today to go. Carlos is saying they've reached a "limit", with no ideas left on how to raise it. I guess some of the others have crossed it trying to catch up.?

This guy's chipping away at it. Dark horse??

Yeah those BMW's look promising in practice, but over a race distance?... Hopefully, the tire life problem is where the progress surfaces.

BMW will tell you it is "riiiiiiider errrrrrrrrror" (say it like SGT Schultz) that is preventing them from reaching the promised land. :lol3

Superglue is back in WSS? I guess that is good and bad. It seems to be the only series where he can be a consistent threat, but he sure isn't going to get many more invites to move up with his history of implosions (WSBK, Moto2).
