Sorry about the bike John, I do remember reading something about 650rs being grossly under lubricated. Looks like that was the problem here.

My KTM is coming along, I am still waiting for some parts for it. My KLR forks were so bad I can bottom them out without even sitting on it. I can just push down on it. Was a little scary riding it back. I can't wait to see all the pics. It looks like it was a great time. I stopped at the hot springs by saguache and they have camping there that comes with the hot springs and breakfast. they also have really nice yurts as well as hotel rooms. Only 15 minutes from saguache.

I just can't express my appreciation in words, for the effort of each rider. The TEAM effort was phenomenal. There were dropped bikes and stalled bikes and areas where a rider just needed a 'PUSH'....but the effort of a dozen riders, for everyone to finish the 1,000+ miles of Colorado AWESOMENESS.....was above and beyond.

I can say without a ....pause.... this was the best, team adventure ride of my life. There is no equal....in the US...of...A.....or.... I bet on the planet.

The CAM1k .....is without equal in regard to a band of brothers....riding the Colorado high country for seven days and 1,000+ miles of challenging dirt.

Drinking a couple of gallons of...Rocky Mountain High!!!!!! I think Coors Light was running down that stream!!!! So, no wonder that bike was running great after we drained the tail pipe, air box and cylinder.......

    Travel safe my friend!

All I can say is WOW! What an epic trip!!!!!! Many thanks to the RMAR crew for putting together such a great ride:clap:clap:clap:clap

Without a doubt, it was the most challenging off-road adventure ride I've been on in my life..... It seemed like every day, there was a new challenge waiting to smack you in the face. But everyone pulled together to get the team through each obstacle. It was simply a fantastic ride:deal

Not only was it great riding and beautiful scenery, but we had such a great group of people. I am really looking forward to future rides with the group.

Looking forward to the 2013 CAM1000:freaky

A most sincere and appreciative Thank You to all the CAM1000 organizers and participants. Words can not describe the spectacular vistas, the challenges of the terrain, and most importantly the camaraderie that developed over the course of 1000 miles.

The only way I can describe the ride is that it was an EPIC Adventure. Every day it challenged my riding ability (which was probably the weakest of the group), increased my riding proficiency, tested my stamina and endurance, and engrained memorable images in my brain for the rest of my life. When Rocky Mountain Adventure Riders host an Adventure ride, it will not disappoint!

And, life long friendships were established with a group of very eclectic folks coming from all around the U.S. to join together in a common interest. No one was judgmental, everyone helped one another (primarily they helped me to repeatedly pick up my DR650...) and the evening campsite conversations reinforced why we associate with fellow riders.

Thank you all for the memories and friendship. I'm already missing the ride and am preparing for next year!!
