I find it odd that it's "car" like at all.

Wouldn't it be easier and quicker to build a giant box on a frame and axels?

The old Power Wagon was sitting on the side of US 129/TN 115 in pretty plain sight not far from Deal's Gap, so lots of people saw it. In fact, the truck is visible on Google Maps' satellite image of the area.:lol3

In this link, look at the brown smudge at the lower left corner of the long building. I'm pretty sure that's it.:D

Fuck Pinzgauers. Those things suck. Buy American. Or get a Unimog. Or something. Anything else.

That picture I posted was two years old so I am sure it was sometime between then and my posting it here that it was removed. I have not been that way since so I did not know the status of the old truck. Hopefully it went to someone to restore it but even in its sad state I thought it made for a good picture. I enjoyed looking at it even if it was a bit heart breaking.

I found a picture of my old 1967 International Travelall - it was something I thought I needed at the time (1976) and I soon found out that it had a prodigious appetite for gasoline (probably the worst fuel mileage of any vehicle I've ever owned). Eight mpg was not unusual but the A/C would turn you blue on a hot Georgia day. This one had the big truck 5-speed transmission that weighed almost 300 lbs - I found that interesting fact out when I replaced the clutch.

That's my 1967 Series IIA Land Rover pickup in the background - I still have that.

I know where there is (or was) an abandoned Travelall in northern CA, up by Shasta.

I had a 1974 Travelall in 1990/1991. Same big truck 5-speed. Loved that thing, but it needed a restoration that I couldn't afford, so I sold it...

Me and my cousin pulled the in line six and fitted a 69 Corvette 350CUI together with a firm shifting TH350 in one of those
It splashed around in the mud pritty good.
He still has it but he also has a house, a wife and 5 kids now so it has not been started in many years.
