Not quite. I had her listed so that I could get my BMW F650 in the garage and had so many low-ball offers from people who didn't even see the bike, I gave up on the sale. It was easier to just mark her sold so that I could stop the emails from the masses
Some of my Suzuki's past and present, I need to track down photos of many others from my past. We have a great Suzuki Dealer in my town, one of the oldest in the South East, great friends and fellow enthusiast. Unfortunately my love affair with the RM250 has ended, Suzuki ceased the model and I rode a new generation Husaberg and made the switch. I still own the restored PE250 and TM400 for the occasional vintage race.
Suzuki makes simple, reliable, no fuss bikes that suit the average rider. My current rides. DRZ400E (Australian Spec) My 99 RMX250 From the past My old DR250S (with my then new XR250R) And for me it doesnt stop with Suzuki bikes My Old Grand Vitara And its sad ending Replace with new Grand Vitara
About the Suzuki cars, I bought my wife the SX4 Crossover. It looks small on the outside but it very roomy on the inside. Also the all wheel drive is amazing in deep snow as we take it on ski trips quite often in the winter. Plus 30 miles per gallon. Glad we now chose it over the Subaru.
I have always had Suzuki's around. My first new DS was a 1976 TS125, I had a GT750 water buffalo, a DR370, GS1000, a GS1100, RV125, a 230atv, I currently have a DR650, TS250 and a PE175. and the Suzuki Sidekick.....
4 years ago I bought a Suzuki for $3300. Put 12,000 & some miles on it. Never has broke down or given me problems. It's a reliable, balanced, simple package with good performance and fuel mileage. I've gotten to see much more of the beauty of Montana my home with it. Of course, now having had it and ridden several other bikes, I have come to the conclusion that if I were rich, I would buy a couple other bikes, a little more long distance tour oriented. Maybe they would be Suzukis too, given my track record with this one. But still would have a DR650, the bike that can do anything.
Here's my 2006 DR650 - I love this bike. It is fun to ride and strong as an ox. I've ridden it on narrow, rocky and rutted single track, toured the Blue Ridge Parkway with it and done everything in between. It is the most versatile bike I have ever owned, and I've owned more than a few bikes.
From traveling to racing, the experience I have had with the brand keeps me coming back!! Just cuss I worked for them doesn't mean anything...
