:eek1 I don't know what's more frightening, the cockpit or what I picture the power block looking like.. :huh
Nothing can't be removed in a flash in this set-up, which is why it doesn't look so slick or permanent. I just wanted to be able to park the bike overnight at a motel or on the street in NYC and take all the gadgets off quickly. That's a Valentine remote above the GPS in my sightline; that's a PocketAmp in the front of the tankbakg; and there's a Gerbings dual troller on top of the bag. I like having the Valentine out to the side so my body isn't blocking any part of it nor is anything else on the bike.
Same here. I have only my GPS mounted off to the side on the left end of the bar. That's enough to keep me rolling from A->B. I don't up in eaphones so about 1/2 of the stuff I see would be dead to me. The rest.. wow.. sheesh.. must look like a UFO just landed at night when the Smokies light you up with radar... :eek1
I really like this set up. Very clean look. Is the upper half of the gauge panel an aftermarket item or did you make it? What do the LED's indicate? What is the LCD infront of the key display? Thad
In front of the keys is a the Smart Tire tire pressure monitor. A great safety feature. .... what about those LED's RD?
Yeah thats homemade stuff. Piece of plastic and a lot of trips back and forth to the drill press with drum sander in the chuck. The LED's are for the radar detector. Its a K-40 2000 undetectable. has front and rear recievers front one is under the beak (on a bracket I epoxied on) the rear fits pretty good in the little pocket of the 44 litre bavarian tail bag I put the on-off volume knob in the spot where the front aux. power outlet goes, so if I get rid of the radar I can put the outlet in the hole
so rc, about the thermometer...back in the back row...one more row back...that's it...how did you mount that? I have one of those velcroed under my dash, but it's going to be too hot under there soon.
Man this is kinda plain but really all I need on the dash. Quest on Z-Technik handlebar mount, and Five-Function Multi Meter under the engine cluster (Clock/Stop Watch, Battery Condition with Readout, Temp Gage In/Out ((Out mounted up under Beak)) with Freeze Alert) MP3 and Cell phone goes into left and right breast pockets on jacket (So they are with me when the unexpected happens and you not able to get back to your bike)
Good LORD, man! I'm guessing that you ain't big on hangin' with the wheelie, stoppie and waaaay-off-road-and-sometimes-upsidedown crowd.
Never upside down but I'll hang with the rest of the crowd, and even go right by them when they are upside down That pic was just for fun. I only run that much stuff when I am running an endurance rally. Did you say wheelie?
Its on a ram mount platform with super velcro attached to the bar above the gauges.
