I had no idea there was a dualsport rental outfit on the big island! Was there a few months ago and borrowed a friends airhead GS. What an amazing place to ride! See you next year.

Bummer we missed you! Let me know when you're back on island and we'll get you set up.

Here's a new video from the Mauna Kea ride I did a few days ago, enjoy!

Any one ride down on Kaalaiki Rd. or any of the mountain roads down there?

I was out on Kaalaiki last weekend but failed to take pics... it was rainy and gloomy so not many choice photo ops.

I took a ride out to Mana Rd. and then up Mauna Kea with inmate speedmonkey7 last Friday (vid coming soon). I got to ride his 950ADV which turns out was a bad idea... now I reeally want one! Great bike and surprisingly nimble for it's size... very well balanced. I drank the KTM kool-aid and damn it was good!

The wife and I drove it in the truck the other day and then hiked a forest reserve road up to a waterfall. It would be a amazing ride. especially all those ups and downs on the paved part :evil.

Oh, no. There goes my vacation budget.... My parents have had a condo in Kona for several years now, and I try to make a habit of escaping from the Arctic to that tropical paradise for at least a couple of weeks every November (the last three years running), but I never knew that about this outfit. I am hoping to be back this November, and was thinking about renting a Harley for an afternoon, but this is a game-changer! Between this and Sam's Hideaway, I think my November is a write off.

Hey all, I have now gone on a couple of rides with the owner of HiADV, and I have to tell you all he is a stand-up guy! His bikes are in great shape, and will go anywhere you can handle here. Here are some examples of the places you can explore here on the BI! This is just one ride in one day and all an hour or so away from the comfort of the beautiful resorts...more to come!

Great shots Chris! You guys should see him throw that KTM around, he's a mad man! I should have some video put together of our last ride soon.

Here's a shot from Waipio Valley on our last ride:

Hey that turned out really pretty. I still have to get that drive by your place with the video from my camera on it. I apparently caught the cold from hell so haven't been real mobile. Hopefully I'll be better by this weekend so we can continue explorations!

Unfortunately you cannot put bikes on the ferry anymore. We found a guy with a fishing boat to take our bikes over and pick us back up a couple days later :D

Cool Big Island pics speedmonkey! I am going to try to get over there to ride in June!

Great photos, they made me homesick :cry. I grew up on the Big Island, lived in Kohala then moved to Hilo. Started my military career in the Hawaii National Guard so know the volcano roads pretty well, almost flipped a jeep there. Thanks for the memories. :clap
