fine 1947 chief, older restoration, like 1985 or so. well, somethings gotta give.
.after seeing a 38 H-D ULH motor that needs built going for way .over 7 grand.
maybe i am a bit outta touch with the "real world".~

yes, i think you are outta touch. i don't know how much, but i think you left a lot of money on the table. i, for one, wouldn't blame you if you cancel the sale and find out what these are really worth... i think $14k sounds about right for a rusted out basket case barn find that needs a thousand hours and a lot of parts to get it to where yours is now...

To make my rebuild complete, I am looking for the left side stancheon cap (black plastic top cap). This only came on the A1 model and later changed to metal. Any leads greatly appreciated.
