New top box for my GS:

Used primarily to hold my helmet, it is tough, cheap, and narrow enough to open my side bags.

I haven't seen any alternative uses of top boxes, so here's mine from this afternoon:

I always thought top boxes were ugly, especially without side cases. But, once I got one, I couldn't live easily without one.

PS I still think they are ugly!:deal

There's one on the windscreen and another on the back, just none visible in that pic.

The front wheel is in the back of the shop getting an Anakee 3 mounted. The rear wheel went as soon as the front was put back on. Mad props to Chaparral, who didn't even bat an eye when I said "OK, lemme go grab the front wheel first"

Okay, my bad. I stand corrected. I should have said "No visible advrider decal" in the photo.

    Ride on!!! :D

Because just about every TB you see is ugly...........:D

The factory one on the Buell looks like an afterthought. The side cases look like they belong buuuuttttt the top box not so much. But....as far as commuting it's ugly is forgotten, because it is awesome to not have to lug helmet through security.

I set this box on my Strom and posted the photo on the Stormtrooper site a few years ago as a joke. You would not believe how many guys told me how stupid I was for having such a large top box. I played dumb the whole time. I said the only drawback was that I couldn't open my side cases :lol3

    :clap Yes!

No worse than the day I picked up a 5000 BTU window AC unit for my garage, at a yardsale, which I strapped to the back of the SE. Only had to go a couple miles at low speed, so figured, why not. Got the good ole WTF from Mrs. Hooli when i got home. Almost let it slip out of my mouth that it weighed less than her.........which would of been all bad. :lol3 And I obviously did not say this because I am still alive today to share this story. :D

Great story. I think a lot of wannbees on this forum are more worried about looking cool than getting the job done.

That trailer is sweet! Is it made for a push bike?

Mrs. Hooli is constantly taken aback by what is strapped to the bike when I arrive home. Some of the highlights; Weed wacker, 3 new full size camping chairs, and the above mentioned AC unit.

Hate the way the SE looks with the Pelicans on it, but it is amazing how useful they are.
