Hell is a real place. Although I did not see the Devil, Satan, Beelzebub or the Walking Dude. I can tell you that it is real and surprisingly cooler than I thought it would be. I left Cleveland,Ohio and headed to Michigan. This my friends is the road to hell. Stopped for petrol near Gregory, MI and talked to a fellow motorcyclist. He gave me a tip to ride the Dexter Trail. Photo Taken on the Dexter Trail. It was getting late and I needed to find a campground. Spent the night at the Bruin Lake campground. A few pics from the Bruin Lake Campground. An elderly gentleman camping near my site stopped to talk about my trip. He kindly offered some firewood which I gladly accepted. A warm campfire and a few cold beers = a great way to end a fun day. Woke up the next morning and started to plan my day. a map, a passport and a pocketful of Euros to exchange into Canuck dollars. Let's go to Canada! I rode the wine route that runs along Lake Erie. You can't go to Canada without stopping at The Beer Store. I know we have Tim Hortons in the states but I had never been in one. Great place to stop for a coffee. I had a great time in Ontario, even if it was short. Now it's time to head back to Cleveland. Next time my wife tells me to go to hell, I can tell her I already went.
Nice, Love the V-Strom. The Luggage is real nice too, especially for the camping trip. I always go to Tim Hortons when I'm in Ontario. I'm talkin' everyday, maybe twice a day. Tim's is immensely popular and there everywhere, in Ontario anyway. I did not know that one could actually just visit Hell but I have now seen the pictures.
So is the road to Hell paved with good intentions? Anytime I have been on it it is more like rough pavement. I have "been through Hell" repeatedly......
Look like a good trip. How did you like Bruin Lake campground? I had never heard of it before this and it looks like it's only a 55 minute ride down N. Territorial for me.
The Bruin Lake Campground was pretty nice. They have construction going on right now but clean restrooms and the lake was really great. There are other campgrounds in the area, I was going to check them out but ran out of time.
Great area you guys have up there. Enjoyed the ride up 52 from Ohio. Hope to come back up in the spring and do some more exploring.
