I like this! However, I have visions of every hair on my wrist being slowly and painfully tugged out :eek1

I would probably wear it anyway, that looks pretty sharp :deal

^I'm hoping the mesh is too tight - we'll see.

That's a another classic Bauhaus styled watch that takes its cue from the official clocks found in Swiss railway stations. They have a tritium-lumed auto version that I'd like over the quartz, but that slim case is sexy. I don't know how I feel about the mesh diving bracelet... Think it would look more at home on a strap, imo.

It might be a nice looking watch but it does NOT say 'Swiss Made' on the dial.

Something is wrong, I would not buy this watch until I knew it's origin.

This picture come from the official Hamilton website.

A lot (if not all? The ones made for the NA market maybe?) of watches from the Khaki line-up don't have the "Swiss made" label on the dial but you can find it on the caseback.

I don't know if it's a kind of tactic to play on the "american origin" thing or what but it's the way it is.

I like the look...but I don't think there is enough contrast for these aging eyes to see time unless it is in full light.

Let us know if there is more contrast than the photo reveals.

I circled this in a catalog and
it showed up under the tree in December.
I can see this dial, 'just fine.'

I think you mis- read that.

My take on what he said was this; it keeps great time but it already looks knackered, and it's only 2 weeks old.

You guys notice how all the watches in these "stock" photos are at 10:10?

    Sarge,
    Call me crazy but...

I would email the company and if they do not respond I would look elsewhere.

I think they intentionally leave the "swiss made" off certain models. They're entitled to put it there but aren't obligated. Relevant thread here:

    http://forums.watchuseek.com/f357/question-not-all-swiss-made-489413.html

    and here:

    http://forums.watchuseek.com/f357/swiss-made-not-528971.html

It would be of greater concern if the watch were labeled "swiss made" but fabricated elsewhere. This WWII era one of mine is definitely made in the USA:

I love the subtle embossed Hamilton logo:

    By 1969 though,

they were already labeled "swiss". (click image below to see high res)

Hamilton uses ETA (Swiss made) movements. Whether or not that is indicated on the caseback or dial is of no significance.

Hamilton is a brand of the Swatch Group. If that is a Hamilton, as opposed to a fake, it is Swiss.

    Swatch brands:
Breguet, Blancpain, Glashütte Original, Jaquet Droz, Léon Hatot, Omega, Longines, Rado, Union Glashütte, Tissot, Calvin Klein Watches + Jewelry, Balmain, Certina, Mido, Hamilton, Swatch, Flik Flak, Endura and Tourbillon.[2]

Finish is actually quite nice for the price. I swim about two miles a week and so I've had it in the pool with no leaking issues there either.

    However...
It stopped working yesterday. Wouldn't move even when wound. I rapped it against the kitchen counter, and it started working again, but there was a rattle inside. Hmm.

Removed the back tonight, and the rotor had come loose and was floating around in the case, so it wasn't self-winding. I was able to put it back in place (that is a REALLY tiny screw - I had to use a razor blade as a screwdriver) and all seems well. We'll see. For $60 it's no big loss if the thing craps out, but I really like it, and so if it does break, I'll consider giving them another chance.
