Lot's of Excellent Playoff baseball on the way with the wild card games beginning on Friday Glad to see the Tigers win their division and Miquel Cabrera wins the Triple Crown in the process
Cabrera's Triple Crown is incredible. I'm just having a hard time being upbeat about baseball right now. I hope yesterday was a huge wake-up call for the Rangers.
And this is one of the reasons I have always enjoyed watching Chipper play, look at that smile. He enjoys the game, and plays his heart out. He truly is a kid getting paid to play a game. Thank you for all the years Chipper! Oh, and growing up in east Texas I have pretty much always routed for the Rangers and Astros. Up until a couple of years ago baseball success has been fleeting. The Rangers are an enigma of a team sometimes, and the Astros... maybe they are rebuilding, or something for the last 8 years or so
Woo. What an awesome night to be an Orioles fan in Baltimore. I wasn't the only one to shed a tear at the bar tonight. It's been a long damn time.
Yeah it was a bad call but that is not why we lost the game. Bravos made way to many errors in the game and the Cardinals capitalized on them. You can not give a team that many chances to beat you. Of all the ways I thought they would lose last night, fielding errors would have been the last thing I would have imagined that would cost us the game. Congrats to the Cardinals.
Make less than a half dozen errors in a wildcard game and you don't need any breaks. Been a Bravos fan for thirty years. One WS and 29 years of playoff humiliation. Fantastic regular seasons decade after decade only to fold in the playoffs. That despite having one of the greatest, longest lasting rotations in the history of baseball.
The O's totally deserved that win. The Rangers implosion was made complete. I think only the Red Sox could have achieved a more impressive end of season collapse. And Hamilton completely let the team down. I still have tremendous respect for his talent, but I don't think his head is in baseball anymore. That being said: Way to go Rangers! Here's to a mostly outstanding 93 win season!
