I just finished watching several videos of single tracking on Powell Butte.Looks great.Who can tell me how to get there ? Mark we need to ride up! Eric

I talked to some people at work, sounds like it's near Prineville. An easy get from here, of course you would have to leave the safety of Washington to get there. No one has really ridden it, one guy just said he knows they ride dirt bikes around there. Anytime you want to go riding...

Any Salem area folks going up to Portland for the SFRC Alley Sweeper on April 7th?

... Spent last week in Ixtapa, Mexico... was 85 degrees & sunny every day. Wish I would have had my bike, looked like there was some great riding to be had there.

I've read a little bit about it - sounds interesting. My budd and I ride DR's. Maybe we'll try it out.

We have at least 5 bikes going from Salem and are planning on riding up via back roads. Really looking forward to it! And hoping the weather holds out...

I was thinking about going too if we get a break from this rain.

Okay, we're gonna meet at my house at 8am and depart at 830am. Going to go up via backroads, probably through Canby or Molalla, Oregon City, and so on. Should be a nice ride unless its pouring down rain... Planning to get to the meeting location at or a little after 10am.

PM or email me for my address if you (or anyone else) wants to meet with us and ride up together. There will be 3 or 4 of us on TW200's so our top speed is about 55mph.

Hello all! I am new to the adventure scene. I would love to meet up for some local rides and meet other riders in the area.

Will advise next ride. I made a quick impromtu run up to the Little North fork late yesterday afternoon. Was planning on going up road 2207 until I hit snow but it started raining hard so I turned around. Damn near had a low speed head on with a cop just outside of Shady cove campground.... was coming around a heavily graveled right hand turn & he was 1/2 way on my side of the road. Was a close call but I did not go down thankfully.

How far up the 2207 before you got stopped by snow? Anywhere near close to Opal Lake?

I did not make it to any snow... was raining too hard & it was getting late. I turned around about five miles past Shady cove.
