Great thread. The more of these I read the more I realize my life isn't complete without at least one Meriden Triumph.

Excellent stuff Kev - I'm really hankering for a speed twin 5T around 1940. Of course not so sure my retirement plan is going to stretch that far ... but we'll see

    Sigh.

PM sent - I find what you're doing very interesting. Sorry the collective armchair experts chased you away.

sure wish you would reconsider .. a LOT of folks was enjoying and learning from your very well put together posts with clear instructions and clear pictures.

don't let the hecklers win .. grow thicker skin instead.. to me this is just a normal part of Adv. most forums are regulated way too tight. thick skin is the price to pay for a loosely moderated forum like Adv

I wish you'd reconsider, too, the tech articles on British bikes are getting thin in this new century. I sure enjoyed yours.

OK, that's exactly the reason why we have
    1) places like Jo Momma on ADV
    2) the rule enforcing civility in the on topic forums.

It's a perfect example how asshattery, name calling and thread shitting can result in chasing good people off. Bans have been dished out now.

To the OP - I would urge you to re-consider your decision to abandon the thread - I know you sent a link to your blog to several folks (me included) but I really think a lot more folks would get more out of your re-build here on ADV

I do understand though if you don't want to do that...

So screw the critics, and carry on. You doing good! :clap:lol3 "<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

Just found this and am sorry I missed the meat of the project!!!

Built championship winning small block Fords (Dry and wet Sump 2.15hp per ci, single four barrel cast intake, canted and inline valves) through the 90's.

I appreciate hand crafted machinery!!!:deal and would never critique another machinist work, when it's obvious he knows his shit!
    You sir do... thank you.

Some of you who were niggling the man should look in the mirror and try to find an ounce of respect in your eyes to show others...
