I was leading this group back from packsaddle cave in sequoia CA USA on a road through a burn with lots of trees down . I popped the front over this one and got a surprise . it took all six of us to lift it off, because when i'd lift it the tree tipped up with the bike and started sliding off the side of the road and when we did finally get my bike off, the tree catapaulted down the steep side

The famous tree from the end of Shawshank Redemption (when Red finds Andy's buried box). The stone wall's remnants are still visible just to the right in the picture, the rest has been removed.

Miccosukee Rd, north of Tallahassee. The road is so old that in places it's at least 4 feet below grade.

Long Beach, MS. The wind and flying debris of Hurricane Katrina stripped the bark from this tree and erased the neighborhood that once surrounded it.

Here's some pics from my Feb '10 Costa Rica Adventure.

Sometimes it's not so much the tree, but what's attached to it:

    Here's the whole tree:

Not sure this was actually a tree, but the slope was steeper than it looks and no one really wanted to find out. Plus there was barbwire and rampaging cows:

This tree was pretty common otherwise, but had some great lighting:
