I never knew I had this channel. Its on my Direct TV lineup on channel 281. There is a show on right now called Cafe Racer. The Bostrom brothers are riding a Virago cafe racer. The are testing Norton Commandos and a Royal Enfield also. This is sweet! Check it out!
Yep, behind hockey games on NBCSportsnet, this is my favorite channel. Lots of good internal-combusion-oriented shows on that channel: Wheeler Dealers, Chasing Classic Cars, Chasing Speed, etc. Mark
Sort of an interesting show, you get to see some cool machinery, does have a certain reality show feel about it. Watched a couple of episodes of Cafe racer,where they rescue an old Norton International chopper and bring it back to life. This dude shows up at the end to take it for a test ride, all decked out in a pudding bowl helmet, studded leathers and an (unused) red shop towl hanging out of his back pocket. All the time I'm thinking "OMG, these cafe racer guys have to wear the uniform just like the Harley crowd".
Yeah, it's interesting how different segments of riders have their own uniforms, from being pirates to transformers. I wish Cafe Racer would not skip around and just follow one or two builds per episode. Good channel though.

I just finished watching the Hartung episode. I'm not up on old classics but do enjoy looking at them. They auctioned off all the Hartungs collection of car and bike stuff. A 1913 Thor with sidcar went for 47 grand and a Flying Merkel went for 175 grand. Dang!........All the bikes were unrestored and they even ran! Old Lee Roy must have been quite the character. This show is going to rebroadcast at 2:30 am tomorrow morn. 4/28
I just saw the preview for tonights Cafe Racer. They are building a pair of CB 350s and a Suzuki twin smoker. Its channel 281 on my Direct Tv.
